We're trying to train him to use the stairs. He's getting a bit big for Souvette to carry and I don't have the strength these days to carry anything. |

Not sure.I'm always tired and lethargic, have no strength whatsoever, get dizzy and uncoordinated, and my mood is a bit iffy. My SIL (a nurse) reckoned it could be anemia. I did some research an vitamin B12 deficiency came up. I've got pretty much all of the symptoms. I've just started taking industrial doses of B12. We'll see if that does anything.

My Brother-in-law told me he had a Cocker Poo some years back and I assumed it was a medical problem...it turned out to be delightful! I never saw them before. I looked it up a while back and it seems that the poodle gene is very trainable and this gives them their calm and very pleasant temperament. I like the different sizes and sorts of dog this produces...I am probably wrong, but it also encourages me to believe that it goes against the in-built problems that the Cruft type process engenders? We need photos please Souvy! p.s. I'm sorry I posted twice...this website thing makes me keep pecking like a manic hen...and Still nothing happens! One thing I absolutely hate is that breeders here like to chop their tails - doc them, which is just so unnecessary. Abbey's tail was docked far too short resulting in issues. Other problems they can have are hip issues. One of the biggest pain in the bum things about them is the double coat, which depending on the 'type', mattes very easily, right down to the skin, once it gets past a certain length - it can literally go like wool if you don't catch it early enough and results in having to cut the fur ultra short (and shaving them makes it worse in the long term). Lovely dogs though and would be my first choice every time. Calm, loving and loyal.. both of mine have been devoted, never leaving my side. :) |

Had your blood pressure checked recently? Some of that sounds like it could be hypotension - I'm just coming through that, took my eye off the ball as it were, dizziness, feeling weak and uncoordination all featured.
I had something similar last week, got dizzy, fell over, had to attend a series of meetings with people from out of town with a fat lip and carpet burns all up my face. A number of ribald remarks about rug burns ensued. Went to the doctor on the weekend and had an EKG, a cat scan, blood work, a heart monitoring session the whole business. Best to get it all done before Doug Ford abolishes hospitals. |

I develop it when you put me in front of a white coat. That was proved at an insurance medical several years ago. The blood pressure test was the first thing to be done. It was off the scale. The doctor had the patience to keep taking the readings throughout the medical, as I became more relaxed. They went down and down and eventually hit textbook normal. |

Funny you mention that. I was outside with the got one morning a couple of weeks ago. I sat on a low wall next to a flower bed. When I went to stand up, I simply flopped backwards into the flower bed. It took me five attempts to pull myself upright.

Why is it that blokes won't go to the doctor? Also I had a full scan last Monday - they cheated, I thought that it was just going to be an MRI, it was full on, including drinking a litre of yak piss, intravenous flaming liquid and the obligatory dose of liquid where the sun doesn't shine. :( Result...clean. :thumb: One more appointment with a gastro-specialist in two weeks time, but doc reckons that to be just a formality. |

Why is it that blokes won't go to the doctor? Recently he has been attending a clinic which is full of the living dead. Something made him realize that he would be one of them quite soon if he didn’t start sorting his blood sugars out. In the meantime he has lost a toe and feet are rather deformed...but he’s alive 🎊🎉 |

;) That doesn't sound good. Do please get checked out, something definitely isn't right! Could you be hypoglycemic? They have a nifty machine now that takes your blood pressure 3-6 times and they average it out. :sneaky: |

At the moment his sugars go too low but he’s on a trial for novartis so they’re keeping a very close eye on him. Men! Can’t live with them, can’t live without them! |

The US is lower at 110-140 cases per 100,000 above the 37th parallel, and 57-78 cases per 100,000 below the 37th parallel. I find I get more bacterial lung infections in Canada vs when I lived in the US, but could be the fact I am older here vs there so not as young and healthy... I find I get dizzy often when standing up, vision goes for a second or 2 and I have to hold a wall or something to balance. Doctors can't find no medical problem and doing a search seems somewhat common, but apparently those who experience such symptoms when standing are higher risk of heart failure later in life, but I figure my heart is going to kill me, killed just about every male in the family thus far. |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Canada annoys me with how much things cost.
I did some math and our rent in 2018 is 305% higher vs 5 years ago. Income is higher but only 24% higher. No woner qol is so poor. So frustrating. |

Globe and Mail opinion piece. A couple of key points from it. "Today, it takes a person in Vancouver, between the ages of 24-34, 27 years to save for a 20-per-cent down payment on a home. Forty years ago, it took five years. Kids aren’t earning as much, when adjusted for inflation, as the boomers." "“We have an aging population, one that wants and needs more medical care, asking a younger generation to pay more for health care than they did,†Mr. Kershaw told me. “Meantime, house values are disproportionately helping an aging population, while that group is leaving larger bills to their kids’ generation. Is that the legacy they want to leave?†|

That said, there are a bunch of things pushing high house prices in Vancouver, not just selfish Boomers. You've got artificially low interest rates, insane levels of lending, limited supply of land in the areas where people want to live, some of the only half-decent year-round weather in Canada, and masses of foreign money, much of which isn't even taxed. |
