One of my favourites after having been running is Heinz baked beans on rye toast with Lea & perrins and grated cheese on top. YUM!

You can get the baked beans at Wallmart!

Roast chicken and cucumber sandwich, Italian style pasta salad and a packet of a Lays "Do-Us-A-Flavour" finalist, creamy garlic caesar crisps. And an apple.

Not2old is the eel smoked? I've never eaten eel, but have no trouble imagining it tastes like smoked fish. Not too great a leap to snake, damn you Freud!
I've noticed a literary difference between Brit and Cdn usage of the word irony. Some of you use it in place of coincidence (not going to spell check), or satire, or another thing I caan't remember. [Edit: Remembered! it's Sarcasm, I've been drinking a little] At the bottom of this food thread (which has it's moments) is a banner ad for KFC something bucket certain death $9.95. About 75% of the people on here would probably either turn it down as unhealthy, uncouth, or just not appetizing; is the banner ad ironic or coincidental (don't start). Satire ..... well, it's unintentional so I'm not sure the definition applies.

Re: Lunchtime Choices

I caught an eel in a nearby river a few years back. What a tough fight he put up! I remember landing him and he just gave me an evil eye. Hated me he did. So I unhooked him and let him go.

I suppose, in hindsight, I should have eaten him. There was a YouTube video showing how to skin them by putting a nail through the head and pinning it to a cutting board.

Not sure I could cope with the evil eye imagery though

I went to the Eagles Club today and had turkey noodle soup, a Greek pork wrap with chips and gravy, a schooner of draft and a bottle of Pil. Meets all the high points in Canada's Food Guide.

As I've had a somewhat unexpected day off, I made a hot jacket potato with cream cheese and home hot-smoked salmon.
