Apparently they're going allow "us" to eat more leftovers for lunch and less pub food or takeaways. :(

Rubbermaid is good. Looks like fairly normal containers though.

According to Stephan Fry on QI, Pumpernickel means "devil's fart".

I'd heard that it wasa mishearing of Napoleon saying that thr bread was ok for his horse to eat. "bon pour Nichole" or somesuch. Nichole was the hirse's name you see.

Haven't had pumpernickel in years. Any other recommended toppings (don't like kraut or mustard). The bread seems to overpower simple ham and cheese.

Maybe a spicy salami or some pickled tongue?

Definitely not the latter, but the former might work.

If you don't like the strong stuff try cream cheese and smoked salmon.

I had the rest of the devil's fart bread and pate, (the cat really thinks I'm eating his food), then wanted more so made a small order of chips and gravy. No adult supervision, that's my problem.
Then I had a plate of ham and brie and pickeled jalapenos and crackers, and when I burped it still tasted like kippers. That's some powerful stuff.
