Not the bad kind of "unexpected day off"; the kind that begins with a row with the boss and just keeps going.

Hope it was a NICE unexpected day off.:)

Lunch for me - nothing, but don't tell the OH:unsure:
He hates it when I don't eat, but I got asked to work in another school in the afternoon, so I was travelling at at lunchtime and didn't have time for anything.
Happens a lot, that.

19th Wedding Anniversary tonight, so having something nice to eat:starsmile:
, which is good because my stomach thinks my throat is cut.

No, not bad, just a bunch of wankers being wankers that's given me some time off. I may well be getting a few more days off this week as well. :) If so, I'm off down the boozer for lunch tomorrow as the weather is a bit too wet for fishing. You should eat some lunch though, how else are you going ward off all those creepy crawlers that those smelly little buggers bring to school?

You don't happen to work for the US Government, do you? :D

You have it sussed.
I have four-weeks-in-itis right now and feel rubbish. Kids bring all their germs and dump them on you - it is like biological warfare.

Well, I will try to have something to say here tomorrow, but it won't be about a pub lunch, more's the pity. :(

I doubt whether they'd give them a day off.

I phoned 2-4-1 Pizza and had them make me an order of spinach, feta, and chicken slices (my go-to) and it was delicious as usual. :)

Gordon Ramsey can stick his michelin stars up his jacksy. None of that fancy food compares to finding an unopened box of mini sausages rolls in the back of the freezer when all you thought was in there was "healthy options". The preheating has commenced.

That sounds good, but would be great as a side dish for kebabs!
There was food left over from a band rider so I see some ham and cheese sandwiches in my immediate future.

I've been making yorkshire puddings & roast potatoes alternately every day for dinner since the weekend (with turkey leftovers). I believe I have some cold roasties waiting for me in the fridge!

Couldn't you just have given it a bit of cheese?
