There's a local character in town who was on his way out to get a pizza. But he decided he didn't have the energy to get there and back and not wanting his coupon to go to waste, he gave it to the post lady who happened to be delivering mail on his street.

20 minutes later there's a knock at his door. She'd used the coupon to buy and deliver him a pizza. He said it was a better one than he was going to get.

Henson, who pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and being drunk and disorderly, was also ordered to pay the three women in the car - as well as the by-passer - £100 in compensation.
I'm no expert in these matters but that was probably cheaper than if he'd used a more 'specialised' service provider for the same thing.

Not at all the sort of thing at which one should giggle.

When I got to the Hungarian Club about 12:30 yesterday I saw this going on a couple of blocks away on the other side of the avenue. Lots of flashing lights but the reporters weren't there yet. Those new spike belts are impressive; apparently designed to gradually deflate the tires so there's less risk of the car crashing into anything at speed or flipping over. As you can see in the pic those tires weren't getting them anywhere fast.

Love this one...only in Atlantic Canada?

Home owner near Halifax goes away and leaves door unlocked for neighbour to walk the dog. Neighbour calls home-owner about two suspicious looking women with vacuum cleaner and mop in house. Homeowner calls RCMP.

The two women were cleaners, cleaned the house and left not knowing they had the wrong house.

Here's a piece about the RSO, the longest continuously running orchestra in Canada. I used to go to the symphony with a girlfriend in the 70's but I confess I sometimes fell asleep.
