Wonder if the body fell out of a plane landing or taking off, a stowaway.
The location of the body inside the airfield area isn't exactly a place someone would be able to easily access to dump a body.

Re: Local newspaper stories
Vancouver city council has voted to expropriate 2 of the run down SRO's owned by the Sahota's.
https://www.citynews1130.com/2019/11...regent-hotels/
The city was previously unable to reach a negotiated deal with the owners, the city will give $1 for each building. I am sure the owners will fight this.
It's been a dry end of October and Early November, last measurable rain was October 25, and it looks like Vancouver will at least tie the 1954 record. Rain coming end of week though, November is typically the rainiest month of the year.

I used to stay in the Regent occasionally 35 - 40 years ago, but it was just an ordinary skid-row hotel back then, not the hell hole it became.

Re: Local newspaper stories
Back in 2010 when I was well homeless, I stopped in to a few of those hotels, and yep they were so gross I wasn't even willing to stay at one. I ended up staying at one of the hostels, showed my US passport and said I was travelling.
The hostels wouldn't take locals, needed a passport from somewhere that isn't Canada. I think I was paying $25/night, stayed for 2 weeks while I found a place to live.

This isn't far from our building, saw all the fire trucks, police and paramedics go past. A man was found dead in the building, fire started in electric room and wasn't able to escape.

Looks like CN is seeing a decline in demand for rail services and will be laying workers off.

If everyone had equal access to proper mental health treatment, the world could be a better place. A lot of live without access to supports we need to thrive and thus end up never thriving and struggling on our own with little to no support.
"The term “mental illness” complicates matters because of the associated stigma, he says. “We’ve separated the mind and the body, but your brain is a physical piece of the body, like the heart or the liver. We expect everyone’s brains to function perfectly, when it’s the most complicated thing we have in our body.”

Re: Local newspaper stories
This quote from the article is so true, lots of awareness these days, but poor resources available for people to actually get help. Suicide rate of men is 3 times that of women. I have given up on reaching out for help and trying to get help, it wont happen until the healthcare system is revamped, and so many are in the same boat as I am and we end up isolated and largely suffering alone.
"“Attempts to change attitudes by creating awareness but then providing inadequate resources (like low coverage for psychological treatments) says, ‘We’re acknowledging that we have a problem, but we don’t care,'” she said. “That drives people into silence, because what’s the point?”"

Amazon delivery driver stealing parcels? It's happened in the US a few times so wouldn't be too surprising if its happening here.
