I used to be very iffy about it, but convenience & the fact that I'd been snowmobiling across lakes & rivers for years without really batting an eyelid (well, mostly), finally convinced me .

My OH was very happy at filling the tank last night at 88c/litre in the east end of St. John's.

That was Costco presumably?

91.9 in CBS this morning. Filling up the Escape cost me $40 and change. I remember when it cost >$60!

Oh yes and hello new poster from Newfoundland. You are part of an exclusive group as there are not many of us.

It was the Irving at the corner of Torbay Road and Pearson Street. OH only fills up in the east end as it's generally cheaper than elsewhere. Knock on effect of Costco being so cheap.

And hello back :-)

Still stuck at 1.02/liter. They hate to break the 99 cent mark it seems.

Filled up yesterday for 28 and some change for 28 liters and some change.

The different in price today vs 2 months ago is about 0.25 or for our average fill a savings of 7.50, or about 15.00 savings for a month. Not bad, too bad food has gone up considerably and takes any savings away....lol

It's all relative, last summer I was looking for the Alberta stations that had 1.02.

Went back down to 1.02 today. They seem to like playing the penny game, up a penny down a penny.
