Here in the caribbean we buy venezuelan fuel at local price arrangements, we pay 10.90 ec per uk [bigger than us] gallon, thats about 3 us dollars a us gallon, not as good as trinidad who pay 0.25 us cents a gallon or our source venezuela at 2 cents a gallon.

In trinidad the purpose of petrol is to feed ones power boat, same here really, 2x300hp or 3x300hp yamahas or 4 stroke hondas drink the stuff, but yes, some extraordinarily good 'road' trips, up to the grenadines for scuba or fishing in the outflow / delta of the orinoco.

In the UK, and Canada, we use litres for gas, not gallons.

Which is downright weird because fuel economy figures in the UK are still given in mpg!

It is very schizophrenic here. We have a U.S. Sourced Nissan Pathfinder which is all in miles- therefore MPH and presumably MPG although when you check fuel consumption I actually think you can choose litres/100 miles or Km- those bloody Canadian mice must have been at the electrics!! Our other, local car which has kph as speed and fuel consumption as litres/100km... For fuel consumption Clear as mud!
