Now if they actually did do work on the roads and provide safe roads like reflectors and yellow painted lines instead of the impossible to see in the rain white lines which are poor condition in a lot of places, then maybe I'd more eager to pay the higher taxes.
For the regions in translink tax zone you pay.
Whatever the federal tax is.
Translink tax of 17
Dedicated Motor Fuel tax-BCTFA of 6.75 cents
Provincial Motor Fuel tax-General fund of 1.75 cents
Carbon tax of 6.67 cents
Total Provincial taxes of 32.17 cents
The rest of the province excluding Victoria pays a higher Prov. Motor Fuel tax-general fund of 7.75 cents/liter but don't pay the transit tax, with a total of 21.17 cents per liter.
Victoria pays a total of 24.67 cents/liter.
For unleaded motor vehicle fuel.

89.9 is the cheapest in town.
There are a few things to think about. Buying the cheapest is not always a good idea as it depends on what you are buying for your 89.9c. Does it have ethanol in it vs the one down the road that does not for lets say 90.9c? Will your car run on ethanol blended fuel? I would put premium in if there was only ethanol Reg available.
Is there any additive in it vs the generic stuff. In nearly all instances the cheapest stuff is the generic Reg with no additive.
Costco, Supperstore, Sobeys and Canadian Tyre all generic.
The cheapest in the Province is usually Costco in Fredericton. They pull down the rest of the stations by a few cents a liter. There are various satellite towns around the three cities here that are cheaper because they have to be. People commute into the three cities in masses would fuel in town if it were cheaper. Is there enough of a saving to drive any distance to fuel up?
Its funny when the price changes because there is a stampede at the pumps yet these same people probably let the car sit idling in the drive for 10 mins to warm or cool first or then sit idling in the very long drive through at Tims vs getting off their bum and going inside.

I am just curious as I really don't pay much attention to brand, we generally use Petro Canada, but anyhow the Mazda stuff that came with the car says they recommend top tier gas.
Now since Costco is listed as having top tier gas in Canada, wouldn't their gas be just as good as the other companies listed?
Top Tier Gasoline
I am just curious, we have no Costco around here, so its not a gas I would even have access to.

I filled up for 75.9 at Regina Cabs the other day, the only cheaper place is their other location which is always a penny less but not as convenient for me.

I know someone who until recently delivered gas from the Co-op refinery to gas stations and he said the only trucks that back up to a special tank are the ones for Shell, confirming rumours that they use an additive. I don't think it's necessary (for my van anyway) to use anything other than regular with a bottle of injector cleaner about every six tanks. In severe conditions of driving through snow at Arctic temps it's possible for the injector sump to become frosted, and a little shot of gas-line anti-freeze fixes that. Using treated gas may keep that problem from happening.

Ethanol blend is worse for the frosting problem as it attracts the moisture and then gells.

About 94 at most stations this morning, although some are as low as 89.
I think they are only allowed to change once per day and they don't all do it at the same time.
Gatineau usually has the cheapest gas in QC. That's because it's slap bang next to Ottawa which has the cheapest gas east of the flat bits.

I just filled up. It was $48. It's usually somewhere around fifty bucks so no life changing difference here.
