EXFATS WEIGH IN!

Personally I am still struggling to focus - for some reason it's much harder for me in the warmer weather as we are always out and about doing stuff. I am still going to Curves though so my wieght is still stable, it's just not evaporating

Deep breath... I have been a bit down and let things slide (comfort eating, and drinking have added close to 20 lbs). So I'm just trying to psych myself up to getting disciplined again and it's so much harder as the years slide by.
I know most diet supplements don't really work but I live in hope that someone out there has tried something that does. Anyone had a go at the 'Colon Cleanse' and 'Acai berry' supplements featured on the Rachael Ray prog in the States? Call me "stoopid" (and I do, I do) but I've just sent off for the 'free trial' in the hope it will kick start me.

I toyed with this supplement idea but I'm a coward, let me know if it works and good luck!

My sister-in-law used to work for HM in Medicine Hat - did a lot of counselling of the people who were induced to buy it. She is convinced the counselling worked better than the HM. BTW when SIL needs to lose weight she goes lo-carb which also works for me short-term... but I start craving carbs after a couple of weeks (bread, cheese wine... sigh).

Well have now returned from a 5 week trip back to the UK and was shocked when I got on the scales over there. I knew I had put on weight since we arrived last August but did not know it was that much, think because the scales here are in pounds I just did not work it out. 2 stone (28 pounds) heavier now than when we landed.
I feel awful about it (but did enjoy shopping for new stuff in M & S) so really need to get motivated.
We are due to register with a doctor next week and he needs to see us so bet he has something to say. Will let you know.
Oh and by the way Piff I called at my doctors whilst in UK and she confirmed that the foot trouble is indeed Plantar Faciitis and just gave me information sheets on exercises. ( she said weight gain can be a contributing factor)
So must get motivated

She actually knows I am in Canada and said if I was staying over there then she would recommend arch supports and a visit to the pediatrist, she even mentioned about cortisone injection, but said best thing to do is the exercises on the info leaflets and get decent trainers (runners).
If has made a big difference with decent trainers and it also helped wearing my heeled shoes whilst over there socializing.
Going to register with a doctor here this week so might see what he says but its calmed down this last week, might be because have stopped walking everywhere. Not nice though is it. If you want any of the info leaflets I can always scan them and forward by email.

Oh it's interesting to know that wearing heels might help - I've avoided wearing mine - maybe I should give it a go! I know what you mean about the walking, I certainly know if I've overdone it

Hello Exfatter's
I've not been in here for ages
(slaps own hand)
How is everyone doing?
I've not been doing great in terms of loss recently, but I have been maintaining a 22lb loss for two and a half years now - so that's good I guess. Still got about 26lbs to go to get where I want to be though.....better get to it.

Hey Calgal, nice to see you about again! You can slap my hands too. Spent more money on yet another weight loss programme and there it sits in the cupboard unused. I will get to it, I really will!

Hi Calgal (lovely to hear from you) and Piff Poff (you too of course) and any other would-be weightloss success stories !
I knew I shouldn't have done it, but I did. I got on the scales this morning after an 8 day sit-on-your-bum road trip. Five bloody pounds

Hummmph!
