To be honest I have no idea if I actually have a mortgage in place from the builders bank or if Parador are just spinning me a line!?!

All I have a minute is a series of emails explaining what the bank is going to do for me, either way its still €15k light!!

Hello, everyone, my name is MaryAnn and I have not been on the forum in a while. I really enjoyed the times I was. I have been addicted to looking at properties on the Internet because we are going in July to Calabria to search for a home and put down a deposit.

I hope some of you can give me some input on this. I really am not sure where else to turn with such a question. We have intently been watching the euro rate. We live in New York State of the United States. We are waiting to see it go a bit below $1.25 for one euro. It is just about there today.

I have been contacting and speaking on the phone to a company called World First. It is located in London, England. I was going to send them a large sum of money to buy euros and then deposit in a bank. They sent me license numbers, credential, but my cautious husband feels that anyone can do that. If we lose this money, forget my relocation to Italy. We plan on permanently living there, not a holiday home.

Has anyone heard of World First? Positives? Negatives? rip offs?
A realtor said clients have used it and they recommend them. Still, we want to know more.

I really would appreciate any responses on this. Maybe you can refer me to someplace in England I could call. In America, we have a Better Business Bureau to check on businesses to see if they cheat people.

They update me daily with rates, are courteous, etc.
Thank you so very much and I hope you are looking forward to your next trip to gorgeous Italy.
MaryAnn

I wouldnt think it would be more than 800-1000 euros, so you are not far wrong.

Hello, I have not been on in quite some time. May I ask you something? We are planning to buy euros for a large sum of US dollars. Do you know anything of the company called World First in London, England? We plan on purchasing in Calabria in July.
I enjoy this forum and appreciate your input. Thank you so much.

Well If I had been thinking of buying there and had read this thread, I would of certainly given it a miss and thought buy elsewhere.

It is Banca Carime, we will be taking over a portion of the builders mortgage on the property relative to the value of the apartment we are purchasing.

Here is a link for you to look at, no english though:(

Thanks Andys2k,
Sounds like a good alternative if you have probs with mortgage, so you will be paying a portion of the builders payments?? are there any clauses or anything???
