yeah I'm a resident ..... but I must have misunderstood and thought that you were talking about something extra that I might have to pay one day now that my ICI has been abolished.

No, just non residents. But rest asurred, they're going to want their money from somewhere or they'll be plugging next years xmas lights into our sockets. Tosi went a bit overboard this year, very pretty though.

I'm going to do the same when I've completed on my property.
It is amazing in todays world that a regulated company like that can get away with what they are doing!

I also have had problems at a different development. There is lots of information on the Incalabria forum about buying in Calabria and the San Rocco development

just read a previous post of yours re gas bills.
Please note that they won't go to diferent rates once you are a resident.
The electric company has residence and non residence rates but gas don't. Some water rates in parts of Italy can differ but I have never heard that gas rates do.

Thanks for putting me right Lorna, I presumed all the utility companies were the same. Our bank has residency and non residency though. Now that we have just received residency we have been able to change that.

Try Channel 4 as well. They seem to be doing (or have done) a lot of property abroad kind of programmes.

Hi, we are trying to find out information about our propery in Isca Calabretta. I have never known anything be so difficult to sort out.

I have just read that people are repoting Giambrone and law to the law society, it is rather alarming when we have invested a lot of money.

I wonder how beneficial it would be to see how many people are unhappy and what could be done about the situation as a whole.

Hi,i,ve bought on Bergamotto 1 which was a Bella Calabria property and bought it through Italian Connections.I am concerned that my "Bank Guarantee" turned out to be an insurance policy that has now expired.I am having difficulty in getting in contact with my solicitors Giambrone Law to resolve this issue.Has anyone else found themselves in the same position or can offer advice?

If you read GISME's threads you'll see that he has problems with Giambrone law.
As for the insurance policy, this is often used as a guarantee. You need to get it renewed (this is law, the developer cannot refuse assuming that he is still in business and your law firm has done things correctly) but it might have an automatic renewal date. If you have it and it's only in Italian, email it to one of us and we'll happily tell you what it states.
