Thanks for the info.I think my policy does not have an automatic renewal as it states: durata:dal11/12/07 al 10/12/08.
Will chase up my solicitor for renewal.

I have also had problems with Giambrone law as they do not answer any corresponence be it email or letter and at one point also threatened to report them.

As regards the property on the San Salvador development I was given a completion date of Feb 09 and the development is still just a concrete frame work and no workmen having been on site for months!

Was told by Italain connection that this was due to bad weather ok there was some bad weather but that still would not have delayed this project by as much as it is behind schedule :curse:.

Again had no warning or any corresponence from Italian Connection infroming me of any delays and they them selves have been hard to get hold of and no longer give updates and have issued a web link so you can check progress.

This would have been great if people had been told about the change! I was waiting for an update when one doesn't arrive people start to worry :confused:.

Italian connection also are in disbute with Bella calabria the developers and appear to be in trouble having laid off staff and moved to smaller offices

so to sum up have a Develoment that is months behind schedule, an agent that is none communative and in trouble and a solicitor I cant get hold of FANTASTIC!:(

Im purchasing in San Rocco II, ive had some problems as the spec has changed and there has been a dispute with fitting of kitchens and air con, that has now been resolved and will be done after completion,but there are long delays apparently.
Ive had a snagging check done on my appartment and it seems well built just a few minor things that need to be done.
The prices are more on all the properties because of the exchange rate and economic situation, you can save on this by taking out a euro mortgage.

well im a bit concerned actually as there are delays in fitting air con and kitchens yet the builder wants to complete asap, as Italian connection will be footing the bill for the fitments.
But as things stand when completion has taken place we are going to be unable to do anything with the appartments until everything is fitted anyway, wont be able to let or use, so they are going to be stood empty...............what should i do?? any suggestions?????????

Do you have any info about San Rocco II?? ive bought a property there and still trying to complete, apparently there is a delay with aircon and kitchens which Bella Calabria are arranging to fit after completion.
Im trying to arrange a mortgage which is taking forever, but not sure if i should complete so quickly if the appartment is going to remain empty, and no likelihood of renting or useing without kitchens and aircon, also i will be making mortgage payments in the meantime.:mad:

hi facecreations,
i dont want to worry you, but have you paid your 30-50% deposit without having your mortgage in place, if you have and cannot secure a mortgage for any reason, such as paying your deposit with money from equity on another property then you will lose your deposit.

Thanks for your concern.
There isnt really an alternative as you cant apply for euro mortgage until 3 months before property is completed, so if you are buying offplan you need to initially find the funds to make the deposit and then when nearly completed apply for a mortgae , thats how the system works, i know it is dodgy but what alternative is there??? ive heard of a few people who have lost there deposits as couldnt get a mortgage and others that are trying to flip and cant.
