Congrats !!

However I agree with Jen1977ni that the 175 gives more freedom.

I have a question, may be silly at this late stage, shall one apply for state sponsoring before or after lodging the application? I chose to be on the skill matching thing, is it all?

Thanks!

May be abhijeet.waykar can shara his experience with us. I assume you apply for the ACT sponsorship before you lodge your application? And how long does it usually take to be sponsored?

Hello A.I.Hassan!
You can still apply for state sponsorship, No issue!! and there is basically no relation between skill matching and state sponsorship. For sponsorship, you need to apply directly to a state.

The time varies from state to state. For SA its 2 weeks, For Vic it is 8-12 weeks etc and after the new priority, they are taking more time to approve sponsorship!

Thanks Safaet!

I read somewhere here in the forum that the States usually prefer to sponsor candidates who aren't on the CSL to give them some points and some chance. Have you heard about this?

Also for state sponsorship, one must be willing to settle in that state or territory, which is somehow a drawback?

Last point, if a 175 applicant applies for a state sponsorship, I think he/she has to change the application to 176 afterwards? (and the fees will be transferred)

Thanks!
