Good afternoon all
I'm from South Africa and submitted my 175 (CSL - Computer Specialist C#, C++, .Net Technologies) on 12 Feb. My husband and I are planning on going to Brisbane and look forward to a time when the entire process is over and done with. An updated list for Feb:

1. Luke Brown – 175 MODL but not CSL
2. Claire-n-tell – 457
3. Paulry – 176 family
4. Helloshivahere – 175 MODL but not CSL
5. Jen1977ni – 175
6. Suziegaz – 175 MODL & CSL now hoping and praying !!!
7. Mon – 955
8. A.I.Hassan – 175 CSL MODL
9. Flanagaj – 175?
10. Janna and Nick - 175 MODL and CSL
11. preSSuRe – 475
12. abhijeet.waykar – 176 state sponsored
13. EDandD - 176 - MODL and CSL
14. Ahmas - 175 - MODL and CSL
15. Cannot wait - ENS 856
16. chichicho - Permanent Spouse visa, 309/100
17. Nevster - 175 - MODL and CSL
18. SarahHartopp - 175 - CSL
19. Beccy.FR - 176 - CSL
20. Porter - 175 CSL/MODL
21. Diane-Ireland - 475 SA
22 Krish.Vamsi - 175 CSL/MODL
23. John and Joanne - 176 State sponsored
24. daddyoconnor – 176 state sponsored
25. Cath76 - subclass 886 (VIC state sponsored)
26. Asher Family – 475 (SA)
27. mokaddem99 - 475 CSL CO: 11/02/09
28. Nyambipo - 175 MODL and CSL
29. May - 175 CSL/MODL

A tracking system we've got going on the South African site might be helpful:
http://www.saaustraliatimeline.com/CurrentVisas.aspx

I see we have 1 or 2 fellow xpat-hopefuls who joined the tracking site as well and notice many of the 176 visa's are now being issued. This can only be good news for the 175 applicants.

Another spouse visa applicant! Glad the application is finally gone. Took it by hand to the embassy in London and the woman I spoke to actually laughed at the size of it!

Default Re: Feb 2009 Applications -new mail from DIAC

Hi Guys I am confused recent mail from DIAC on processing

Applications with Occupations on the Critical Skills List (CSL):

Applications are being allocated in date of lodgement order. All CSL
applictions are expected to be allocated to case officers by end of May
2009.

Applications with Occupations on the Migration Occupations in Demand List
(MODL):
Applications are not being allocated at present

It means all csl will be allocated end of may 2009 means whats is cuto of date

All csl applications lodged before thats missing or if all csl allocated then next is our modl even though HR I hope we will get 10-*12 months

Any comments Feb 2009 thread is old I see march 2009 thread too but I feel its to early

I don't think anybody knows the answer. This whole processing thing is very new and I for one have no idea how many tier 1 and 2 applications there are. There could be 20 or there could be 200.

I think that you'll just have to wait until May rolls around as that is when the ASPC have said they will have allocated all CSL applications. This will then give us an idea of what the likely timescales will be. Assuming of course that they actually finish allocating the CSL applications by May!

I hope it is sooner rather than later for you though. I know how it feels to feel like your life is on hold even though we are on the CSL. Must be worse for you.

Ho hum, is there any clarification on which CSL will be have CO's allocated by the end of May? Those who lodged before a certain date, or all of them? The sooner we get you talented ones out of the way, the more chance there is for us bog standard lil Primary School Teachers lol

So now with the new ruling, which apps will be processed first?

State sponsored, CSL, MODL, others?
