Re: AUGUST 2007 Applicants
Well..... we validated this week.
Hell, as the youngest wouldnt sleep during the night AT ALL!
Stayed in a lovely villa in Freo, only bummer being that the building site next door & opposite was v noisy.
Cr*p weather - we were in the middle of that storm!
went to see th aquarium at Hilary's harbour which was good fun for the eldest. the Zoo in the city centre on Saturday (yesterday) was fab as well.
Freezing cold there though, and the house construction quality is terrible - really shoddy building quality!
House prices there seem to be slowing (although the estate agents would have you believe otherwise).
Really looking forward to the "for real" time when we can actually move out there, although with my new contract overseas it may be a few years now (as the job in Aus fell through)
But.... such a great feeling to be a PR now

Congrats on being at PR !!!!!!! I bet it feels great !!!
Being the traveller that you are-I have a quick question for you.
We are planning to validate in April 09, (unless the housing market and the exchange rate pick up again before then and then we'll get a one way ticket)
Is there anywhere in your opinion that is within 6-7hrs away from Perth that would be good to holiday?
We are wanting to spend some time somewhere ????? and then pop over to vaildate and spend just a week in Perth.
Any ideas greatly appreciated
Well, good luck to the rest of you guys still wtg, I'll be watching and keeping everything crossed for you
Take care

Hope Rachel recovers swiftly-no lifting anything heavier than a teacup, and it will take 6 weeks to recover:don't rush into anything hon, let the others wait on you until you are sure you are healed up.
