Thanks for your reply. Must have just been having an off day when she sent the email. Thought I might just have taken it the wrong way,but when I asked my friend how she read it, she thought the same as me. Lets hope they are right with the visa dates then as the next person who says "oh haven't you gone yet" is going to be sorry
Hi TMRE, I asked if there was any news today off Go Matilda and reply was No, So near yet so far eh, its so frustrating checking emails every hour!, seems to be a bit of a halt after 2 really good weeks.

Hi everyone. After a bit of advice! When (if) we get a CO, how long will we have to get our meds done?? Do they give you a specific time when everything has to be submitted?? Only asking coz i wont pass med at the mo and having investigations on the NHS at the moment. Seeing a specialist beginning of April so really don't want to do meds until the very latest date i can......waffling now!!

So if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.......full ack only a few days ago (29th Feb) so not really expecting a CO anytime soon. To be honest the longer i'm waiting for one, the better!

We were given 70 days to get the rest of our paperwork, meds/police checks submitted when we were assigned a case officer. Hope this helps!

Sorry! I didn't mean it the way it sounded! We actually like Melbourne, it would be our next choice it's just we've prepared for Perth and have friends there and hopefully more family members will follow us over (only to Perth though- work transfers etc). If we get the right job offer (and a visa! Sell house, etc etc) we'd be happy anywhere as long as it's Oz!! xxx

evening!

we are also with GM and like you Trme i got told off for having done the medicals without them telling me so and 'oh big NO' having sent them off without a frn

but like you others i'll send them an email right now to get an update - i haven't heard anything in a month and at least a 'it's moving - and we haven't forgotten about you' would be nice!!

melbourne i am proud of you

housesale: no news as such. house has been up for 14 days now (not that i am counting ) - and 1 interest but no viewing.
BUT our local estate agent is chasing us up about twice a week ever since and we keep telling him 'not right now' - but it seems like he's got a few interests but obviously won't send them without being under contract with us.
but so far he agreed to stay with the 'sole agent fee' he told us before and we still can advertise via the other company. and should we get lucky with the other ones they'll just walk away. - very tempting, especially with him actually telling me he'd have a possible viewers for this weekend -
had a little chat with OH and we'll do it. we would be silly to throw the chance away even if it'll cost us more. i'll try to lower the fees though

wish us luck!

Are your agents Go matilda at all?(ours are) . We lodged on 16/08 meds sent 16/01 pcc's sent 29/01. Have had what feels like a "telling" of from our agent in her last email. Meds sent without FRN because of an admin mix up at doctors. Reluctant to contact them now, even just to see if they have a very rough idea of timescale. Shame really as thought they were really good in the beginning. May try and get hubby to pluck up the courage to call tomorrow
Hi,
We went with Thinking Australia. Met Darrell Todd nearly a year ago now in Sheffield.Did anyone else on here do the same as us?

Hi Sarah and Andy,
We're heading for the East side of Melbourne (at the moment) cos that's where my sister is based. Having said that the property prices there have gone through the roof so are looking at Berwick now
How about you?

We haven't heard anything since 7th December when our money was taken - I'm honestly getting to the end of my tether as our lives are on hold until we find out what the hell is going on. OH is self employed and does not know when to book work in until. It's sh!t - I just want to scream every time I check my email and there's nothing there AGAIN.

We had our PCCs back in November and had our xrays and meds done in February. The meds still have not gone as we are waiting for a report back from my GP. However, despite what our agent advises we will probably send them off without reference numbers (be waiting a lifetime otherwise).

End of rant. Aaaaannd breeeeaaaaaatthhhh!!

Thanks for that. Have just emailed agent suggesting we front load as everyone else seems to have done and we are getting left behind. Asked for progress report. Will let you all know if I have a response in morning.

Goodnight and good luck for those positive emails in the morning.

WIPP EEEEEEEE

Emailed agent (George Lombard) last night, and we got a response this morning (good ol' George). Asked about people frontloading pccs & meds, and that we felt that we were being left behind.

His response was that he hadn't wanted us to do them until he was confident that my assessment and relevant evidence had reached a CO (still waiting).
He is now happy for us to have them done. Told him we're off on hols next Saturday for 2 weeks. He suggested we get them done quickly, ie., before we go. Help loads of organinsing to do.

Quick question 14 year old daughter is on anti-biotics for tonsilitus - does she need a blood test?

Once meds & pccs are out of the way we'll feel a bit closer.

A more happy Caroline x
Good luck for today
