Hi
We lodged at Adelaide end of May/start of June and were told 5 months for visa.
I haven't seen anyone who has had a RSMS from Adelaide recently!

Here is a "quote" from another forum re: RSMS
Hi there, our RSMS (also known as a 119 visa) took 6 months from job offfer to landing in Mackay. Lodged at Brisbane. From application lodged to approval is probably about 3 months. Very good visa if you can get it!!We are now PR and can do everything Aussies can do except vote.
Just finding out when that was... will let you know...

I've just instructed the estate agents - the house is now offically on the market!!!!!!
Please someone buy the house, please please please.

Yes... I would work on an average of 6 months... Agents also give worst case senoria ...
Here's another RSMS which was granted in Perth :
"Our employer lodged 12th Jan 2008. We lodged 12th feb and it was granted 4th April. We laned 6 weeks later."
Very quick !! and it is 2008 !!! Good signs I think

Mine was lodged 13th may at Darwin, received the standard expect 5-7 months wait but have been allocated a case officer and today received a request for further info and request for medicals from the case officer so they must be looking at it.Offshore paper based application.
Any movement on your side??? Did you lodge Form 80?
Please check out this thread on RSMS - not many but good to see ...

Hello janjan.
immigration wanted hard copies of form 80 so that was sent of yesterday.
Also waiting confirmation that the medicals have started their trip to australia, we had those done 12 days ago.
Just sit and wait now I guess.
Regards old.

I am hoping for between 8 and 12 weeks if I frontload everything and my employer puts a start date on for my job. I cant still be here next year - I just cant!

If I ever get to Oz I think that I will apply to work at DIAC and work extra fast to ease everyones pain at waiting.
Or do you think that the DIAC looks at this website and thinks "let's make them wait a few more months"!!!
