re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
Hey everyone,
Thank you for your feedback! Much appreciated.
As it turns out, we might not be able to go and flagpole tomorrow, but may have to wait until the first weekend in January (when we have more time - December is a bit nuts lol).
Is there a certain amount of time between receiving your PR (i.e. land) to when you should get your SIN?
Good to know re: the SIN card. My next question was going to be when you get a SIN number, only then you can get a job, or do you have to wait for the SIN card, but I am guessing once you have your SIN you can work or can you work without a SIN and just your PR? Hope this question makes sense.
Also, if the PR card takes 8 weeks to process, do you have stay in the country while you wait? I may have to take a job abroad temporarily as the job market here is on its knees and because we have been common-law I have had to stay put!
Thank you once again. I will take a look at those links / info you sent .

Hi Bromelia,
Can I ask where you got your private medical cover and how much it was?
I am in the UK and plan to leave next week for dual intent and still have to get some medical cover for the first 3 months.

From March 15, 2016 you should definitely travel with your PR card if returning by air:

Thanks Andrew hopefully yours will be along soon.
It wasn't showing decision made the other day after l got there email, but l just checked and yes it is now showing.
So 15 months in all it has taken with almost 12 months of that spent being unable to work in Canada, certainly one of the hardest experiences myself and my fiancee have ever had to go though.
Will let you know when l get the COPR for the spreadsheet.

Hi Lis20,
Welcome to the forum
Could I ask you to get in touch with BEVS, site lead, to arrange a change of username please? It's not a good idea to have your email as your username as you will get spammed by bots.
Many thanks
