re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
Well that's the confusing bit. She's Spanish/Brazilian. It mentions in the letter that she's from a country that requires a visa. However, when we arrived in Canada she showed her Spanish passport (which doesn't need a visa). To add to the confusion, the immigration officer stapled her one-year visitors visa to her Spanish passport, but all the info on it is from her Brazilian passport (i.e. passport number and format of her maiden name). We're assuming she'll have to send both passports to CIC.

Its not a huge concern holding passports where one requires a visa and the other doesn't.

It will depend on what she fills out on the forms as nationality as one requires a visa and the other doesn't. IMHO I would submit details of both with an explanation that she primarily uses the Spanish passport. Not declaring both sets herself up for possible misrepresentation.

In the original application forms, we included all the details of her Spanish citizenship as a secondary nationality (where it asks for other nationalities). We set her primary as Brazilian as her birth certificate is from there. We also sent photocopies of both passports with the application, plus police records from both countries. So they should have all this info already.

Not sure what you mean wizard, when you provided me with details to add you to the spreadsheet you said you had received sponsor approval.
Either way, congratulations and spreadsheet updated.

ECAS has just changed to DM we sent in the requested passport photos and paid that final fee last week! Should we be expecting an e-mail or something in the post now that the decision has been made?

The sponsor approval status on ECAS still says 'in process' on ours even though confirmation of approval was received back on August. Permanent residence status still says 'in process' too. Was wondering if the fact the sponsor application status had not been changed to 'decision made' would impact the other but it's obviously not the case.
