re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
I spent a long, long time unable to log in because I was using 'UK' as my location. I could log in with my Fiancée's details though, so it wasn't a big issue, but I felt like an idiot when I found out what I was doing wrong...

You are not/not an idiot. No one can explain why "UK" is even offered on the list!

I also like the totally not confusing update to the DOB field on eCAS recently.

SOme of this is just because of old computer data bases that are somehow still used with tweaks. That certainly explains things as it is probably an old "choose from" list.

Re-done my medical today and one of the examiners mentioned how often CIC ignored requests from PP's regarding medicals. They often have to search forums or talk to PP's in other cities to get answers as rarely will anyone from London talk to them. PP's are also instructed to send queries by email and discouraged from phoning. It is a strange situation that even PP's are seen by CIC as not worthy of talking to just the same as applicants. They also have to use the same email address we do.

Each week that passes my employer gets more antsy, which is fair. They've held my position open coming on 2 months now but that can't continue forever. Nor can my savings.
It's frustrating to have confirmation two full weeks ago mentioning "approval" but it still sits in some inbox tray on some jobsworth desk waiting for them to actually stamp it and sign off.
I thought government agencies were ridiculous back home but CIC genuinely takes the biscuit. They've also written to me to say they were unable to locate me on their system after I filed a ATIP request to get my case notes. Maybe there is something tricky about typing a name into the field and hitting search. Ineptitude of the highest order. They never miss an opportunity to screw up.

Perhaps. MPs office has fired them another email by the looks of it so we'll see what they say...probably be next week before we hear anything.
