I think they only go to Ottowa if there's a condition that might involve significant social service costs. Ours were sent there because our daughter has Asperger's. It was just on 5-months from when we had our medicals to when we heard back from CiC.

for the info of those who check the ECAS daily like I have for months...
My ECAS remained.........In Process every day until yesterday 13/7/10 when it moved to .........Decision Made
despite the Visas being inserted in my passport on 5/7/10 and them arriving at my house on 10/7/10
so not a reliable predictor of future events in my opinion
