We had our medicals on the 4th June - received our medical requests on 6th May (AOR 25/01/10). Slight delay in that one of us had to have our blood pressure re-checked at our own GPs. All now sorted and medical forms sent off to CIC. We are now just waiting for passport requests - I hope!

Hi guys,
No news here either, still haven't even turned "in process"! (aor 29th Jan)
We are Ontario bound on Saturday for another reccie, thought that we would be so much further along by now.
Very disheartening.
Anyway, everyone hang in there.....
best wishes to all

Hi all,
We had medicals just over 6 weeks ago but no word since.
I thought the medical request was the last hurdle but now its back to the familiar worry of will we/wont we get the PPR....joy

Just pulled this off the FAQ on ECAS (notice the highlighted bit), I was under the impression that an 'In Process' file had been through the initial review?:
Q13: Why has the status of my application not changed even though it has been a long time since I submitted it and I know that things have happened with my file?
A13: It is normal for some actions to not be reflected in CAS for many weeks due to the volume of information received at the visa offices and the case processing centres.
In many cases, an in-process file is actually waiting in a queue for initial review as applications are handled in the order they are received and on a case-by-case basis. The waiting time in this initial queue can be lengthy, depending on the standard processing times. Applications are processed according to the Application Processing Time at a given location.

Re: AOR from London Jan & Feb 2010 - Progress updates
I had the news I've been crossing my fingers for since June 2nd (when my meds were sent to Ottawa)...my PPR came by email this morning! The wait was just less than 6 weeks and I happen to be in the Dominican Republic on vacation too, what a week, time to celebrate!
One question though, the email contained the following: "Unless your passport or the passport of one of your accompanying family members (if any) expires on an earlier date, your permanent resident visa(s) will all expire on 2nd June 2011."
My passport expires July 11 2011, once I get a new passport, will my PR expiration date move to the new end date in the passport (2021)?
Thanks from a very happy Michael
