AOR from London Jan & Feb 2010 - Progress updates
Hi All - I know there are a handful of us that have received AOR from London in January or February 2010, I think we're all waiting for status to change from 'Received by Visa Office' and no doubt checking ECAS on a daily basis!
This thread is to track our progress, I'll start with my timeline:
FSW1 (NOC 0111) CIO app sent to CIO 01/10/09
Received Nova Scotia 07/10/09
120 day letter received 23/12/09
Full app sent to London 20/01/10
AOR received (and new file number) 29/01/10
I know there's the other 'CIO' thread started by Martin but I think has got a bit busy and it's difficult to keep track of the useful posts.
Can we please try to keep on topic and only update with relevant information.

Hi Stuart,
As you can see in my signature I received my AOR on the 25/01/10.
ECAS is still "received by visa office".I wonder how long before we get the "in process".
Good idea about starting this thread as everyone is at different stages it can be a bit difficult to follow progress.

Been lurking around BE for quite a while, and thought it was about time to get involved!
AOR received 30/01/10, leading to a rather unhealthy obsession with ECAS - hopefully there will be a change soon!

Don't meant to pee on your bonfire, but ecas seems to seldom get updated, we've done our medicals and awaiting ppr and it has never read anything but "In Process", it has been that way since we got our AOR in Oct 2007....

FSW CAT1 sent to NS 12th Sep 09. Arrived 18th Sep 09
Recce Vancouver 19th Sep 09. 120 day e-mail 17th Nov 09. Full App to CHC 2nd Feb 10. AOR & new file number 10th Feb 10...

Anybody have any idea why the system seems to have come to a grinding halt for the Jan/Feb apps. Ecas is stuck on docs received??

Ours only changed to Decision made after we had got our passports back with the shiny new visa's in them!!! Don't rely on e-cas alone!!!

Picked this up from another thread....
"As of April 1, 2010, Economic applications from citizens or residents of Pakistan will be processed in London, United Kingdom. If you live in Pakistan and are applying under this category, send your application to London and not to Islamabad."
Just what we need, could push our applications further down the queue?

Once we were given AOR it was then in process until end July 08 when we got the first Decision made (a refusal) (see my timeline) Then it went back into process in Sept 09 then to Decision made after we got our visas back

So disappointed yet another ecas-update-day (otherwise known as tuesday) has passed with no change - again....
Our timeline: FSW Applicaiton rec'd @ cio Sydney 24th Sep 09.
Full Docs Submitted to London 8th Jan 10
Ecas changed to Rec'd by Visa Office 2nd Feb 10
We just came back last week from our recce to Toronto, we fell in love with Oakville and just cant wait to return.
We have four little girls and I was so anxious to get over there in time to start school this September, its just awful not knowing if thats even going to be a possibility!
Its the pits not being in control, eh!
