Guess I'll give Ponda a miss. Think the last time I had to pass thro' it was once when the Zuari Bridge was closed, and it was the only way to get down south.

US are working on a real invisibility cloak that not only hides the wearer from visual detection but also from night vision glasses. "The technology is so secret that the developers can't actually demonstrate it live".

So this time it's not the clothes that are invisible - it's the bloody Emperor!!!

It must be true - it's reprinted from a prestigious British newspaper (with the initials DM!)

Sunburn festival has Goa political parties in a twist

13 Deg: New York Daily News. Sunburn, one of India's biggest electronic dance music (EDM) festivals, starts in Goa later this month but already appears to have inspired the state's leaders into doing a political twist. While the opposition Congress party accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- led coalition government of going out of its way to support the beach festival, the state tourism minister said that a final decision on this was yet to be taken.

16 Dec: PTI. More than 50 per cent of Goa police force is not physically fit due to the “pressures and unexpected demands” they have been facing while on the job, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said today…

Chiffon drapes India's bunnies

17 Dec: Mumbai Mirror. The opening of India's first Playboy club in Goa, originally slated for this month, has been delayed … six foreigners have been hired for the Playboy Beach Club, which will now open early next year in Candolim, Goa… their costumes had to be designed for the Indian market to not offend sensibilities…

Goa Taxis to have fare meters by March 2013

17 Dec: Times of India. Frustrated at having had to pay exorbitant fares to taxis and auto rickshaws even for a short distance? Well a transport related government proposal may be something to cheer about. In a move that will bring respite to travellers as well as tourists, the tourist taxis in the state will need to have fare meters in place by March 2013

Vijay Mallya Offers 3 Kg Gold to Lord Venkateswara

24 Dec: Outlook. Goa has long been a byword for the ‘getaway’, the chance to rest, release, revel and recharge… domestic tourists are only coming to Goa for the cheap booze and to create a nuisance… The inflow of migrants to work in the tourism sector has been fostering resentment among locals. The “Russian takeover”—especially of Morjim—is another flashpoint… Despite the upheavals, Goa remains “the last haven”. There’s no place in India even halfway as liveable. The question is how long it will stay that way

Now, Russians take you for a taxi ride

18 Dec: Times of India. A new turf war has erupted on the beach belts of Goa. It's a fight as to who will run the taxis. The Russians and Ukrainians have slowly taken control of business in the North Goa beaches. Now, they have ventured into running the tourist taxi business…

Fire at Goa Medical College, no casualties reported
18 Dec: Times of India. Consultations at the Out patient department (OPD) of Goa medical college and hospital - state's premier government hospital at Bambolim - had to be cancelled for the day due to a fire in the building Tuesday morning…

Perhaps a blessing in disguise now they can clean and revamp the GMC Outpatients.

Attractive vest being worn and exposed by him on the right too..........:lol:

One thing that never fails to make me laugh are the groups of Indian chaps who get off the buses, go to the nearest tat shop and all buy one of those sets of white shorts and vest tops with 'Goa' plastered all over it and a brightly coloured stripe down the side....each of the group wears a different coloured stripe and then they 'strut' down the beach thinking they look cool as xxxx.....
..........hilarious
