There was a picture in the paper but don`t think it comes up on this link.

What a total fiasco. The sections filled with mud have been washed away with the torrential rain we`ve had.Buses OK. Cars drive with caution...2 wheelers :eek:

I`ll try and get some pics tomorrow...its a disaster zone!!!

It depends what they meant by "leg". If it was the thigh (femur), then life threatening complications can occur.

So today was the first day of busy traffic over the bridge and before 8 am there was a bus stuck in a rut and they had to get all the passengers off in the pouring rain to enable it to get out!!
I`m kind of hoping that the PWO will be back tomorrow to fill in these ruts with something a bit more substantial than mud!!

Why?
It is possible the reporting could have failed to give the accurate meaning of 'leg' bones which is tib and fib.
Even with this there are uncommon reasons that things could have gone wrong.

Come on Steve, we would miss her if she went! :eek::eek::eek:

After all we could have had;

"It depends what they meant by "dead". If it was a dead leg, then life threatening complications can occur.

The post stated "A broken leg, resulting in death that's a first".

No comment on this particular case.

Just look it up before sarcasm.

Compound fractures, dirty wound -- infection--septicaemia.

Pinning of shattered bones--infection--septicaemia.

Imobilising the patient after op. --deep vein thrombosis---pulmonary embolism.

Just for starters.

Goodness, do you mean they were telling jokes about it at Vintage Hospital in an attempt to hide the death from a broken leg? :blink:
