For those not familiar with the case, was living in Anjuna and volunteering at the International Animal Rescue before becoming dead. The Goan police chimps as usual blamed drink and/or drugs but autopsy revealed no substances and extensive injuries. Par for the course then.................. over and over again. So today, after the usual couple of years of lying through their teeth, the corrupt bunch of uniformed gangsters have decided to re-open the case. As a murder enquiry. As I live within walking distance of the family I will be giving them what help I can. Get the impression this case has been completely hushed up in Goa? Is this true and any ideas why? . Exactly the same thing happened with Scarlet, and the Russian girl at Tivim Rail Station, and Steven Bennett - and probably countless others whose families have believed the cause of death originally given by the Goan police. When you read the statistics of European deaths in Goa (bearing in mind that very few foreigners can actually live there as such), the numbers are staggering when compared to other standard European holiday destinations. That fact alone is enough to make me raise question - and I don;t really 'get' why it is not enough for the like sof Vaseline Vaz and his govt cronies to raise question !! If you do have contact with the family of this lady, please pass on my regards - I too would also help in any way I can - especially should they need anything legal interpreted for them. Dread - x |

Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Can we stop Goa’s degeneration?
7 Jul: Herald. By Jose Maria Miranda. …Goans returning to Goa on a holiday are rightly disillusioned and pained with the happenings in Goa. And their regret is that the situation is getting worse by the day. It is time we introspect, before it is too late. We have allowed our character to degenerate and our values to collapse. Our affluence, resultant particularly from the rise in the value of our properties, has had the better of us and turned us arrogant and uncaring. We have not only become egoistic, but selfish and greedy. We just don’t care what happens to others, so long as we are safe and sound |

The licence raj rolls on:
“This is not only illegal but also a very dangerous trend.†Now why exactly would it be illegal to rent out all or part of your house? It has been done everywhere forever! Just another case of officially sanctioned baksheesh opportunities aka licence raj, and too many people who think it's their mission in life to tell others what to do. AndyD 8-)₹ |
