AndyD Having seen some of what Al Quaeda and some of the other Jihad spin off groups produce in terms of manifesto and literature, it is less about avenging the ills done by Western nations, but more the desire to create a worldwide Islamic state, thereby giving a small group of power crazed individuals world domination with their twisted version of Islam. The wars between the West and Islamic countries gives these nutcases the tools of propaganda to bring forth more disillusioned recruits to their cause. Those at the top of the Al Quaeda tree actually demonise many fellow Islamic nations on account of which strand of Islam is primarily followed. Any falling short of strict Taliban type regimes are also on their target radar. Also, the slippery slope addition does not really work. A 10-minute reaction time in an old folks home does not equate to a similar time in an operating theatre. Like working for the Inland Revenue does not require the speed of a forex trader, for example. |

There are about 177,000,000 Muslims in India, why did you choose this place to be expats in when you dislike them so much?? (Dread's post distinguishing the terrorists from the ordinary others was reasoned). Gandhi had actually suggested Jinna to be the first PM of India. Why are there so many posts about Muslims in general on a Goa Expats Forum, should there perhaps be a separate Muslim thread?? Noni you could start one? There is no excuse not to attend immediately to a fallen patient. If this nurse was the only one on duty and she knew about the fall. That said, these things happen every day, they only reach the national news if a Muslim is involved. |

If you read William Darymples book." The Last Mughal." There is a whole section dealing with Muslims or Musslemen, as they used to be referred to by the British in India.This whole problem with Jihadists within Islam starts in Saudi Arabia around 1822.
