Don't many locals treat their wives like this?

Noni, I dispair. This book was being sold in Canada; the author died in 1943. Muslims have condemned its sale. What relevance does it have to this Forum?
By locals do you mean British/Goans/Welsh? who?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/20...estic-violence
(Another statistic equally irrelevant to this Forum)

INDIANS. We read in the Indian papers the way indian women are treated, in the villages by male members of their families.

Why do I quote the DM - because it is easier to access on line, and unfortunately when things are reported about "brown people" it is 99.9%
muslim, and unfortunately they are Indians.

Enjoying The Indian Doctor of BBC!

Why do you think The Guardian, Times etc. reporting is any more reliable than the DM? 50 - 50 I would say.:sneaky:

Naturally reports in the Indian newspapers are about Indians. Just as reports in UK are about British domestic violence are about British people.
and Muslims actually are a minority in India.

If you mean "brown people" in UK most of the Muslim community are Pakistani, African, or Middle Eastern and not Indian.

I think there are plenty of reports in most newspapers about non-Muslim "brown people" both good and bad reports. I think with respect you are somewhat selective Noni.:(

Just seen your second post: there are good and bad things occurring in all communities it is just that the Daily Mail has the habit of choosing only the bad about the Muslim community.

The DM is populist hate drivel, not journalism. The line between reporting and opinion is very clear cut in the Guardian, and passable in The Times.....given it's Newscorp owned. There is no line in the DM.

I disproved that conclusively a couple of hundred posts back where I gave you the figures. The front page of the DM is one of the heaviest on any mainstream website, taking a lot of bandwidth to download and processor power to render. Almost any other news site is lighter.

With respect just bounce off back to TIO, not interested in bandwidth to download etc.

Bipat - I only am interested in Indians! I love India.

Noni you later posted you are only interested in 'Indians'.

I have been unable to find a link to statistics (maybe someone else can).

But latest figures I have found regarding British Muslims:

Pakistani origin 43%, Arab and African 20%, Bangladeshi 11%, Indian 8%
Others ?%

So what you read in the DM about Muslims is least likely to concern 'Indians'.

I don't think it would be too wrong in clubbing the Indian, Pak., Banglas., together. Not too many years ago, they were together until the hated Brits. broke them asunder.

He has Jordanian nationality, (Jordan; brown people there but not part of India), quite a pleasant country I have heard.
He doesn't want to go back as he is wanted on terror charges.
Theresa May is doing her best. European Court block.

Even more sickening is that this individual is known to have significant funds provided by his work in his community (he works as a cleric and not for free !), yet even though this has been established time and time again by police investigations, he is still funded by the state at a level which exceeds anything the majority of benefit dependant people (or for that matter the average working person) will ever get.
So much for David Cameron's promise to overhaul the benefits system and cap the amount of rent allowance.

And why should Europe interfere with another countries legal system? He is wanted in Jordan for extremely serious criminal offences. Would the UK govt or Europan parliament like it if the Jordanian Govt refused to extradite someone responsible for serious crime in their countries? Somehow I doubt it.

Dread - x

:banghead::banghead::banghead: My God Bipat you would argue with yourself in a paperbag. Have I said they are Indians, I was pointing out how our money was being wasted on this tosspot and his family. He should be sent home nevermind what happens to them, they are responsible for their own actions, not living here in luxury when our own people are going without.

Why do you alway pick up on these type of people, and nothing on posts like the balloon.
