I've observed the clean up process at Baga beach over Sunday and Monday. The cleaners do a pretty thorough job. What strikes me is the complete lack of garbage receptacles. Cleaning scales best when done at the source ... prevent rubbish from being strewn and impose heavy fines when rules are ignored. I believe that Singapore has public lashing for those who litter. I think that's a great idea.

The above link tells how the value of the Rupee has risen after the Indian government decided to delay bringing in for one year laws regarding tax avoidance.

In short, the fact that a form of corruption is being allowed to continue for a further year has caused an increase in the Rupee's value. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Now we all realise that prices have risen in Z-o-S, but does it actually cost £336,000 to desilt 2000 metres of nullah using itinerant labour including women and children?

And this on top of a similar sum just spent?
