[QUOTE=johnny five;10072294]It may not have made "Today's Papers", but Milwart's famous brown underpants are now dyed black. :ohmy:
So now he will be able to take sneaky pics of the Laydees incognito! :p

:ban: those as well, you will be in Matalan buying proper bathers if the sun shines this week. :focus:

Why do middle-class British tourists (they can afford the air-fares) only mix with or observe the lower classes or poorer Indian people (the two not necessarily combined) and then are surprised when they behave in a different way to themselves.

Perhaps the same lack of knowledge in some Indian men who assume all women who take off their clothes in public are 'No ladies'.

Perhaps both nationalities need to learn more about each other.

@Bipat
Your posts on this forum present a more balanced view. I've no doubt it is because you have a very different exposure as compared with even the regular tourists who have been visiting for decades. I think your perspective is from the inside rather than the outside. Ironically, tourism in Goa presents an ugly face that even locals find disgusting. A far cry from the pristine 60s and 70s.

Thank you; I just try to put a fair opinion.
I think (hope) though that it is only a very few expats who view Indian people in general (and India) with such contempt as we sometimes read on this Forum.

From Goan Voice;

http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/ci_2...alackova-loses

Not sure what this has to do with Goa or Goans, but makes interesting reading, and the photos? Wow!

Bit that caught my eye was;

Talackova is the child of a Czechoslovakian father and aboriginal Canadian mother.
Now there's a thought

"Tie me caribou down sport" anyone?

or do they mean eskimos?

Six foot tall blonde eskimos?

ps. Found the Goan link, the article was written by some bird called Noronha, probably a relative of good old Fred?

£100 fine if your garden is a tip: Homeowners who dump rubbish face on-the-spot penalties

What is wrong with our Government, is it run by Goa!! My God, we should be fining the bin men for leaving litter over our roads, and only taking what they feel like on that particular bin day. What about the "look" of all those wheelie bins in peoples gardens. - such nonsense:angry_smile:

Having watched a program about hoarders(I thought I was one until I watched it) and seen the mess in one persons garden I can see why they might think it is reasonable to fine if your garden is a tip. Depends on the definition, if we got fined because some rubbish was blown or thrown into our front garden I would be well p***ed but if they mean something like the garden that was show in the program I wouldn't think it was unreasonable.

Before the Government and Councils have a go at ordinary people they ought to get their own houses in order first. We live in a beautiful village, the bins along the seafront are not emptied on Bank Holidays, nor are the restaurants huge wheelie bins, they are overflowing on the roads.

I do agree with you K800 about some gardens, mostly on the council estates and student areas.

You can't blame the students for what is in the bins, and the binmen decide to leave it for the dogs and foxes. Especially when they go home for the summer.

All I am saying is the Government and Councils should set their own houses in order first.
