BJP alleges distribution of election freebies

10 Jan: Times of India. The BJP alleged that the "distribution of sewing machines, televisions, fridges and overhead water tanks is going on unchallenged, in order to lure poor voters"…

More corruption! I suppose people vote for those who offer the best "gifts"

YES BUT YOU KNOW IT IS NOT TRUE. Can you take gifts from every party?

It is true, I have said before that Congress 'buys' their votes, they have the most money.
No I don't vote nor does OH (British Citizens). What is a "tweeker"? not sure of the definition.

Well, you'd still have to be lucky to actually receive those shipments.
From my past experience with this sort of deal, chances are about 30% for you to receive them.

I'd take "super safer" over "super saver" anytime... :p

(Items I've "lost in transit", yet had to pay for include: 1 box of "Nürnberger Lebkuchen", 1 Royal Enfield Bullet Workshop Manual, and several other books)

Noni, there are 'ways', last election in Mangalore people (men) were given money, when the votes were counted and if not up to the expected amount there would be 'comeback'. When interviewed on TV the women said they had not voted!
Why do you think there is this uprising against corruption? (Now failing).

PS What is a "tweeker"
