We flew out on the Jet Lite flight at 18.45 so our flight must have been one of those arrivals, if it hadn't come in we would have missed our flight from Mumbai so I for one am quite pleased they ignored the curfew

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They ignored all international standards of air safety, and the SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS OF THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT, placing hundreds of passengers lives at REAL risk, and you are "quite pleased" as it allowed you to meet your Bombay flight?
Their actions were CRIMINAL, and clearly are being treated as such by the Injun government. At least this will ensure that the required bribes will be punitive.................

It is India, most Indians seem to think all rules are made to be broken. At least this curfew being ignored did not result in an accident and as it did not even though their actions were criminal I think I have every right to be grateful I was able to get home on time.

I know what you mean; but before we land in Goa later this month we will have done 8 internal flights, and I am very grateful that all the rules including security seem to be being obeyed!! (at least on our flights); 2 flights to go so

UPDATE Due to technical problems with our booking system, customers may have experienced difficulties booking the 2-for-1 offer. Qatar Airways will honour all 2-for-1 bookings made to date for this offer

Goa holiday to burn hole in your pocket
13 Apr: Daily News & Analysis. The closure of the Goa runway for the next two months from 3pm to 6.30pm is going to spoil the holiday mood of many flyers. Moreover, as most airlines will reschedule their flights due to limited availability of the runway between 1pm and 3pm and post 5.30pm, travel agents say the airfares are likely to go up due to peak hour travel as well as the holiday season... Mumbai/Goa fares have already increased and are in the range of Rs7,000 to Rs33,961 even for low-cost airlines. The normal fare to Goa is anywhere between Rs2,500 to Rs4,500

India Tourist Visa Nightmare
17 Apr. Blogspot. Beware, If you want to get a simple tourist visa to India while traveling Asia and you hold an American or Australian passport, writes a blogger, it will likely be impossible or a nightmare not worth pursuing. In 5 years of non-stop travel as a family, with many simple tourist visas easily acquired, we were shocked by how ridiculously hard it was to just take a week trip to India
