Hi i have e-mailed the Ombudsman for estate agents but you can also call them on 01722 333306 which i am also going to do tomorrow, i suggest that eveyone who has problems with agents in this country does exactly the same to stop othe innocent people like us being mugged. I am also contacting my solicitor and getting some advice from friends in the police to see if it is fraud.
Ps i am also going to companies house tel 0870 3333636 to see what has happened to Churchills and my hard earned cash, please feel free to join me.

Hi Barrance,

Sorry to read of your predicament, be careful about announcing all your moves and options on this very public forum, I would try to make sure you keep something in your back pocket so to speak. Establish who you want to share sensitive info with and PM them, just give the rest of us what you are happy to let the general public see. hope you don't mind me giving this advice, it just seems sensible to me. Best of luck.

Regards to all

John

Hello everyone,

I paid £4,500 via Churchills for a 1bed aprtment in BW. I have the receipt from Goa to say that the developers had received the full amount.

I contacted Ryan Braganza via email [3 times, no reply] & have been phoning the following numbers in order to get a refund.

Mobile:00919822151122
Office: 00918322277411.

I spoke to [briefly] someone called 'Vijay'. Who's he?

Best wishes,
Deb

Hi to you ALL in this very sorry mess:curse:

May I suggest that you ALL look at the Majorda Chris Gregory thread and the very LARGE Buyer Beware thread ?

You will realise how much of everyones hard earned cash is potentially being lost in Goa

Us long termers have been banging the drum for ages for government attention, media attention/ exposure (with some success) and unfortunately you will have to make some very loud noises as well to what is a MULTI MILLION POUND property fiasco

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but welcome to our sorry group

Just as a bit of background, where exactly is the building project known as Braganza World ?
What village and if possible the precise location.
There is an Agnelo Braganza who runs Riviera Builders or Holdings etc. I presume thay are not inter-related ?
As I have said before on this forum, Braganza is a common Goan Catholic name , so maybe they are not.

No its not you honey bee, everything is slowing down today. We have tried to log into 3 different sites for various things and they are all either slower than a snail or not working at all. It must be the monsoon like rains!!:curse:If only we had the hot sun to follow who would need Goa

Barrance - this is the thread you should read. Perhaps somebody could amalgamate this and the new thread regarding Braganza World.

Thanks for the information, please let us all know how it goes, I too have yet to receive an email response from Ryan, although Vijay had mentioned that he would be back on Tuesday 12th August 2008 and would then respond.

Hi All,
I do not know if it will help but I have signed Contract on Bond paper for Braganza World 1 bed Flat. After pestering then 100 times they had sent me this. The contract is signed by Mathew Braganza( Ryan's father). I too have 2 receipts. I had paid one of the payment by Credit card to Churchills. Does anyone think I can get that back from Credit card companies. I rang Vijay who looks like only person in the office presently( may also resign like Carol- who had enough money till now I think) does not acknowledge that we can be easily transferred to TW. I asked about money he advised me to Speak to ryan. Needless to say Ryan did not answer the call. I do not know what to do. But as advices in one of earlier threads I am going to Ombudsmen, Hope everyone will join.

Very interesting point Prahant - will be interested to know what the Credit Card Company says - although I am sure they will try to wriggle out of it someway, but be persistant.

Question Re: Braganza World

I am very interested in having a holiday home in Goa.
All this is very confusing.

Nationality issues apart, will it be better to buy a ready-built property, second-hand, rather than from a builder/developer ?
