Hope she didn't get done for grievous brolliely harm.

Can somebody give me a few ideas why?
Its a way to experience what its like to live in Siberia without having to learn a new language.

This is from the deputy leader of our Government and shows you how the UK and Europe have completely lost the plot! We have ridiculous health and safety laws which takes away the fact that accidents happen and always have. We have to watch what we say and do so as not to offend everyone. My issue isn't just with the UK- the downturn and demise has really been since our Government handed power and lawmaking to Brussels without us even having a referendum. Everything here is done underhand. I am under no illusion that Canada have the same issues but my understanding (and I do welcome your comments as a potential immigrant!) is that there is not so much madness. The police have their hands tied. I live in a small village and a friend's daughter was beaten up quite badly. The thugs said they didn't do it and the victim said they did (her face was black and blue so I don't think she would have done this to herself!) and the police had to let them off as there was a 'conflicting' story!!! Of course there would be- they won't admit it!!! You can't shop to the police safely without fear of recrimination and the conflicting evidence issue pops up again. Gosh- I could go on forever. The long and short of this is that I don't want my daughter growing up in this environment and I don't see things changing for the better.
No different in Canada i'm afraid.

What's that then?

Did you mean to say - "That's prob a big reason why so many of us can't wait to leave the place. Some people have no pride in being British any more."

Nope, you just can't provide any

Good luck on your educational endeavour though. Maybe after you succeeded you could pop over to Quebec and teach those French speaking fannies how to speak proper English

Hey guys, new here.

Flag thing; Yeah i had the st georges cross on my car once, on an england match....

I parked up near a mosque (oops?) and alot of asian people had a go at me for displaying the flag on my car... which i thought was out of order. (I am not being racist)

It depends where you are in the UK, and depends on the person and your local community, example: centre of bradford.

At the end of the day, alot of Sikhs etc display their religious logos on their car, but that person himself may not be doing it to be racist or spark a territorial arguement, but people who do not follow that religion may argue why are you displaying that flag?

I'm not racist and I believe everyone should be entitled to their own freedoms etc etc without inteference from others..

I don't take kindly to people acting agressive to me for displaying my flag, but hey, they have their opinions right? and tell me, how many of us british go to spain wearing our england tshirts etc etc? So stop with the rivalry instinct.

Anyways moving on....

if anyone could give me information about moving to vancouver, bc, canada from the UK that would be greatful...

I'm in hopes of attending a school there (after university) even though it is expensive to study there hehe (£18,000 woah)

I'd like informative replies please, I don't want silly comments about how canada is rubbish etc, I love the UK, I love vancouver BC.

I want to move to study in canada and settle there hopefully for a new life and a change of culture.

I've read up BUNAC, which i may travel to Vancouver for 2months with my girlfriend and sister to work and experience vancouver from a living perspective.

Thanks guys!

(I don't intend to spark an arguement, im just sick of reading these silly comments about everything when i want information)
