Of course this doesn't address the number of immigrants resident in a country but if the rate is always higher for one country than another, in absolute as well as proportionate terms, it stands to reason that that country, Canada, has more resident immigrants and refugees, dunnit?

Excellent. I recommend a black triangle for this group, to also include the rest of the work-shy

I really hope there is no way you are ever going to be allowed into Canada. Stay in the UK and feed your hate.

I have not stated that I agree with any of Mr. Powell's opinions (actual or imagined) so I fail to see why you insist I am a fan. Please explain.

If you wish to call me a racist, come out and say it and, when doing so, please point to any of my posts that suggest that I am. As I have repeatedly said, I find posts by ignorant people troubling. Again, you have not shown any evidence that Mr. Powell was a racist. I ask you to do so now.

Thankfully, it massively backfired on him, got him sacked from the shadow cabinet and sent his career into a tailspin from which it never recovered.

Anyhow, You seem to be an expert on the late, unlamented, and political failure that was Mr. Powell, so I'll bow to your superior knowledge.
I am not an expert on Mr. Powell at all, but I do look further than Wikipedia for my knowledge. From your previous posts, I have inferred that you were not on this planet when during the infamous parts of Mr. Powell's career. Therefore, I also infer, you have obtained all your knowledge about him from tabloids or wiki. Do you actually know which constituency elected Mr. Powell, numerous times? Do you know what the ethnic make up of that constituency was? You may find it enlightening to find out.

I have nothing further to say on this.

I dunno....Statements like "In this country in 15 or 20 years time the black man will have the whip hand over the white man" always seemed to me to be a tad racist, however, you seem a "gotta have the last word" kinda guy 'Almost Canadian' so I'll let you have it.

Sure, it would be a great thing if this forum was restricted to intellectual colossi like yourself 'Almost Canadian' but sadly they appear to let anyone on.

Last night, on the television, there was a program entitled "Whatever Happened To ...?". The subject was David Carradine.

I think that was the most disappointing piece of television I've ever seen.

I do know of him. Also Michael Hutchence. These are grim times for the citrus fruit industry.
