Would be migrants. WARNING.

Had a bit of rain the other day. Moved the car into our back yard for a free wash:

Would be migrants can now imagine how lovely and lush their wonderful Australian lawns will be in the lucky, lucky country.
Anyone else got some "real" pix of Australia for the rose-coloured specs brigade?

My U.V meter has recorded every day this year so far at 15+ that's the top end of extreme.

Shows wonderfully just how varied the place is. A photo from my back yard would show dust & dead grass, it's not comparing like with like though.
I just looked on the weather forum & the current hottest temp is Julia Creek Airport, QLD 39.7°C The coolest is Wellington Park, TAS 3.1°C

Currently just 18C in Melbourne...but UV12...for the benefit of those who say..."but it wasn't even hot!".

Ah the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Where would Australia's identity be without those magnificent structures designed by the Danish and the British.

Modern Australia is the product of foreigners.
Even the Queen of Australia resides in London.
The Prime Minister of Australia was born in Wales.
You can go back to 1770 and say this country was settled by the British.
So what's the point?

My point is, your pictures appeared to me to be repetitious and boring and rather stereotypical of the so-called wonders of the lucky country wheeled out time and time again. As you demonstrated.
If I was to use pictures to celebrate the wonder of Australia I might have used images recorded in the Northern Territory. Less predictable, perhaps.
I agree, foreigners have contributed to the nature of modern Australian society. I am a foreigner. As for Australia itself, it is a product of nature.
She is quite wonderful, but I prefer her less savage creations.

I say the indigenous had other priorities at that time.
Meh, I was just demonstrating the weather as it was in Sydney in the past 10 days - and I actually see both the Opera House and Harbour Bridge every single day unfortunately.

Geez this is so unexpected, Sydney being the gayest city outside San Francisco.
This should serve as a Warning to future migrants. Sydney is a rainbow.
