We are on some energy saving plan where the AC goes off between five and nine pm, so humid.
Whatever green moment I was having when I signed that
Leather furniture is also a curse in this humidity and heat. I made the error of flopping down on the leather sofa, only to find myself stuck to it. Slowly ripping yourself off the sofa like a giant bandaid is really not that elegant

Australia is not sunshine, surf and smiles.
Today, for example, it is a hot hell hole at the arse end of the World.
It is too hot for the kids to go outside and do anything so they are holed up in our inadequately air-conditioned house waiting to go to the shops to wander aimlessly in an inadequately air-conditioned shopping centre.
I have just been outside and checked the thermometre in the pergola and it is 34 degrees centigrade (that's over 93 farenheit) IN THE SHADE. 1.38 pm.
If I took them to the beach they would burn like bacon and risk skin cancer.
Australia's "sunny" weather is not fun.

Oh yes, I hear you! I am so glad that I am not there now - we just saw the grandkids on skype looking hot and flustered and at least they can run around with nothing on. I just loathed the nights when you cant sleep because of the heat and my DH refuses, point blank, to have aircon! (He's going back to Aus for a few weeks to sort out some loose ends - in Feb
)

It was a nice day here in Sydney.
At the end of the month I am off to Tuvalu, formerly the Ellice Islands. They used to eat people but it is discouraged these days. Hot as hell, no aircon, one supply ship a month. No hot water, in fact not a lot of water at all. They were limited to 2L a day last month. The UN has it on its "least developed nation status"
Bet those buggers are glad they aren't in Brisvagas today.....

What are bananas going for over there? We got it tough here. There may be an iPad 3 shortage when it ships and my digital reception is on the blink

Life is just So Unfair.
