Re: Why the stress in every single thread?
I wasn't educated in Oxford, but it seems that all my parent's friends were. At one point, it was home from home and everyone they knew had attended a college there - but I haven't been back since the early 90s. My grandfather had a seat in Christchurch Cathedral which my mother once pointed out when we were up there with friends. I wanted to take my daughters to see it last year - on the basis it might be some sort of family history but we didn't get around to it! There was a programme on the cathedral on ABC the other day which reminded me.
I wanted to go to Oxford myself but peaked too soon and by the time Higher Education came along I'd long lost interest and moved on. No regrets though. And I was as thick as sh*t!.

I've just seen the thread which was shut down and have to say that the attitude of the person who caused the problem wasn't great. They weren't even an 'old time poster' who has seen and done everything.
The answer to your perfectly reasonable question, is yes, every June, the number of visa grants DOES slow down. It has been this way every year. It doesn't mean you definately won't get your visa in June, it won't mean your CO won't work on your case. It does mean there will probably be a rash of visa grants in July.
I have no idea why someone couldn't say that - it wasn't difficult. I asked the same question a couple of years ago and got a civil answer.

Good isn't it. A tribute to young Suzy. Also in your honour I am going to take some extra English lessons so I can write in a correct manner, maybe then people will not twist my posts and make me out to be some kind of uncaring arse. Thankfully the people that have actually met me from BE know that is far from the truth.

G said he was educated in Oxford, he might have, for example, gone to the boys school in Abingdon and then gone to Oxford Brookes..or whatever it was then! I am not going to put pressure on him to show his hand. It's his business!
..my mother was once in an Inspector Morse episode...
