Instead of enjoying this wonderful country you all are so grateful to live in.

Just a thought that always makes me smile.

because Australia is really rubbish, and we've got nothing better to do with our time than post on this forum ! and wish we were back in the uk !

that, and also because it is a good forum, informative and (at times like these) entertaining.

one more point I'd like to make, just in case this thread gets closed...

I have a sneaking suspicion that ABCDiamond really is Anne Diamond.

And because if those that have been and gone back are still posting whilst being as happy as a pig in shit that they are back then why shouldn't the rest of us :D

However it's nice to see you have such a high opinion of yourself, unfortunately it's not your opinion of yourself that counts:embarrassed_smile:

Your sounding like a prat & from the feedback coming my way I obviously wasn't alone in that thought:thumbdown:

I've left nice easy paragraph breaks between my sentences to make it easier for you to tear apart my post sentence by sentence:rolleyes:

So far I've had that whingebag earlier calling me an idiot and now you're calling me a prat. Remind me who it was that sounds like a child?

Oh and by the way, feedback goes both ways matey - not everyone shares your views.

May I suggest you go back & re read your posts in this thread. I'm sure you'll find the answer to your question within them.
You've changed your style mate, a lot of people have noticed the change. I don't know why perhaps you can enlighten us?
I used to look forward to reading your posts they were witty & articulate & a valuable contribution to the site.
These days you resort to knocking out crap like post 35 & post 41 they simply aren't worthy of your considerable talent & yes I stand by the above comment, they do make you sound like a prat. Your correct you may as well resort to tits & arse jokes your down at that level now
I'm not taking the other posters side, quite the opposite in fact. I'm just saddened that you've resorted to the above:(

Yes, we are lucky to live in such a great country with a strong economy. We just have to make sure that our government doesn't destroy it - like the present one is trying to do with their left-wing agenda.

I have never understood, or ever will, why some people willingly live here yet hate it. At least those who have tried it, didn't like it and gone back and are happy with their decision (that some then try and tell people on here how crap Australia is, is another story). If you are not happy here, move to somewhere that you are happy. Simple really.

I think most people who know me will be shaking their heads and wondering what you're on about. Nothing's changed with me, except perhaps an unwillingness to watch people write such utter bollocks and letting it go unchallenged.

I assume you're referring to the Resources Super Tax, which is about to destroy our way of life?

Last time I checked, the only people who were up-in-arms about this new tax, were the executives and employees of resources companies....Hence their need to hastily put together a $100m propaganda warchest, producing radio ads saying things like "its just common sense - if you increase tax on raw materials, then everything else will go up too":rofl:

Pretty sure that everyone else in Australia thinks that this tax is a great decision.

I don’t know how you worked that out. I loved the UK, and any other country I’ve lived in. I hate Australia though.

I'm here because I have to be at the moment, I can put up with it for a while, and knowing it's not for life makes it easier.

What - you mean folk sitting in shiny offices in Perth, who by their very own admission get paid top whack for often doing very little working for companies that sell bits of (our) Australia to the world. How dare you rock the apple cart - socialist!

Or did you mean that fat liar Clive Jabba Palmer?

Probably both.

I think you need to do some more research. News articles I read on the weekend said that it could lose KRudd the election. Labour has a 9 seat majority, they are probably going to lose 2-3 seats in WA, 4 seats in Qld, and 3-4 in SA. That's an election loss.

I'm not going to debate the RSPT on here as there has been too much shite written/said about it - from both sides. The way that KRudd and co have announced this - without consultation, and it seems, much thought is really bad. This, and all their other backflips and dithering may have cost them re-election.

Sorry, I actually didn't mean that the way you have taken it, and I can see how you could have misinterpreted what I said.

I did not mean to imply that anyone who loved the UK would love Australia.

My point was that whingers and moaners about the UK, who then move to Australia, are likely to be whingers and moaners about Australia, whereas people who were not whingers and moaners in the UK are not likely to be whingers and moaners here.

In other words, the whinging and moaning comes from within, not from external influences.

I seem to remember a time when neither us let a single sentence from one another go unchallenged.

"Nice weather today"...
"No it bloody well isn't"..
"Well I think it is"
"Well you're a bloody Aussie Godzoner, so you always think it's nice"

Ahhh.. happy days. :D

I must be an exception then, coz I think I whinge about Australia a bit, but never whinged about anywhere else, lol.

In reality I know it’s not that bad here, it’s just not my type of place :p
