Just looking at my bottle of tablets, and it does say MG.Anyway, the reason for this post - I'm feeling very jittery, guess it could be I'm better suited to 60whatevers than 90whatevers. Will discuss with Dr L on Thurs.

My bottle says MG too, Seasider. This is because it is MG, not MCG. Natural thyroid is not measured in the same way as thyroxine alone. It has a certain amount of T4 in it, but as a whole, it is MG.
This is not a mistake, so do not panic! It's perfectly correct.
Could well be your dose is a little high.... glad you're seeing L on Thurs and I hope it goes well for you.

Yes, you can add in week by week as long as you reduce or stop your T4 only medication, otherwise you'll get jittery. T4 takes time to leave the body too, so you may just be having a little too much.
Hang in there... you'll get it right.

You do seem to have raised your dose rather fast....

Whats your situation Ausi? What're your labs like at the moment? Your levels obviously arent right thats for sure. You sound Hyper but then I also get like that when I'm hypo so god only knows. Whats happening in hospital? Sorry in a rush and dont have time to read through the thread to find your story

So after getting in contact they say it does not say any reading or information on the levels just that its normal.
So i dont really feel happy that its all missed off and not sure where to go from here.

Sorry that was a bit of a hit and run post - I was half asleep
- but honestly, it makes me so mad that in the 21st century some doctors still feel the need to play the power game. Keep the patient in the dark and baffle them with bullshit.
Maybe it's because I've just had six years of private health (no other option) where they have to compete for your business, as business is what it is, but I am used to better service than this. I've experienced a little bit of it in Australia, and I won't be seeing that man again
They are your test results and, to manage your condition effectively, you need to understand it and them. Kick some ass!
In other news, I am now giving HC a try. I have my test results and later I'm going to be trawling the net and scaring myself silly with what I read

You know TiddlyPom, i think that in all the twenty four years since having my first child, not once have i been told my test results
I am always just told to change level up or down when the results come back and it has always been up.
When i inquired today i was told that they were not qualified to read them and only the nurse could and so i asked for the nurse to read them, when they came back to me the nurse said that nothing to read on the computer.
So now im wondering where to go from there.

Don't take no for an answer... they're yours.
Find a new doctor who understands what the hell they're talking about, who's willing to work with you and then take said results with you and see where that takes you.

Ask them for all the copies of your blood test results that they've got and ask them to print them out.

Had my hospital appointment today TiddlyPom, and i got on quite well.
Had extensive blood tests amongst other things for the thyroid and will hear from them when results come back.
So wait with baited breath to see what the out come is.
