Yes, tricky one.

She needs to get on a plane. I can't see her getting sorted over there. I've looked online but don't see anything.
Sometimes you just have to be brave and do it, otherwise there's no end in sight.

Yep I've hit a brick wall with research too and I agree that she needs to get on a plane. Shes jsut not getting the tests she needs there and at the moment shes not even seeing an Endo. Just with a GP who thinks bottom of the range FT3 is good

She actually plucked up the courage to phone her...took a lot of persuading on my behalf but when she finally did was told that she couldnt treat her from a distance and that she needs to seek a doctor is Tassie. If she managed to fly for the initial consultation she'd be fine because she'll then do telephone consulations...frustrating!

So, I finally had a period for the first time in 2 years. Had my bloods tested again. Got a call from the Docs. TSH has gone from 2.4 to 9.3!!!
Up from 75mcg to 100 mcg!!
I swim now 4 times a week, I feel a bit trimmer, my clothes are a little slacker but my weight is still increasing

Stop weighing yourself!!! You may have lost fat and gained weight in muscle especially given that your clothes are looser on you!

Your docs right to move you up... .I hope you can get your TSH down a bit more.

Sounds great... keep doing what you're doing as exercise stimulates the thyroid so the more, the better.

It'll all come right in time...just concentrate on 'feeling' right first then the rest will follow.

What were your FT3 & FT4?

I never asked today, it wasn't my normal doctor. She's off sick Wonder if she writes her own sick note.

Anyway, she'll print them out for me when she comes back. The doctor i saw today isn't known for his bedside manner!!

I used to weigh myself too, but I don't any more. I just go on my clothes and how I look. Weight's no indication of muscle density or mass, plus female weight can fluctuate between 3 and 7lb in a week, quite normally.

Give up the scales. They are evil and must be punished.

I have had a look on line and tried to find out for you, but also draw a blank.
I think as you say it would be best for her to fly over.

Agreed, Aussie... She sounds like she needs someone to take charge a bit and get her over here.
