Many people think the same as you, that she damaged the country. Many others think she saved the country and put it back on its feet after the last Labour government. That is down to different political view points. Margaret Thatcher was a controversial leader but she was not an evil dictator and history won't remember her as one. To wish death on somebody because of a different political view point is just wrong, surely you see that?

I suspect you don't really mean it and it is a rather juvenile rant. If you do really mean it ... well I think you are a dangerous person.
Pish.

See my last post.

I wouldn't personally murder someone if that is what you are getting at, but she just as good murdered people in my family.

Me, a dangerous person? Only if you continue to argue with me

No. You have missed the point, the question is why you have a DEATH WISH on another human being. For getting rid of free milk, a policy nobody has restored since ... come on!

Its all very well to say you hate her (a la child tantrum). Why? What exactly did she do to you to make you wish she was dead?

I left Uni with a 10,000 pound debt because of her. I don't wish her dead.

If you can't explain why you want her dead, then thats why you should have just stayed quiet.

FFS give it up man. She was a hard hearted bitch who couldn't give a stuff about Scotland or society. What is it to you anyway if somebody wishes another person dead. Are you the moral police?
SC comes from the same town as I, so we know what she did, and she will, I pray, pay for it in the next life.

I don't have a problem with Maggie... re-read my text before you mouth off a load of crap..

I was just saying that spinning a line that "she is an old lady" doesn't cut the chase .. never has and never will.. she was a headstrong policitian that ruled England (the UK) with an iron fist.. seriously doubt she would actually want anyone suggesting "old lady" in the context that you and others were referring to her as... as in "vunerable"... she was an old boot and incredibly able... in one sense, kudos to her abilities.. in another sense... god help those who got in her way or in the way of her policies..

You are seriously just picking holes in anything I say.. fair enough.. I am thick skinned enough not to give a shit, but if you think I am going to sit back and let you manipulate what I am saying, then no way...

Oh.. and I am a WW2 freak.. literally... so no need to attempt to educate me in that way.. I was just referring to an old man reference when he was hated/judged for his past... did he get imprisioned? I don't know as I can't remember his name as I was only a young un... therefore I wrote allegedly.. get over it..

She WAS a headstrong politican. She is now an old dear. Why did you pick issue with that?

You're a WW2 freak, good, I'm a history freak, we can swap books.I just finished Guderians Tank Battles book.

Anyway, she IS an old vulnerable woman now. She had her day, she made some tough choices, and it just seems like bullying now that people wish her dead.

She was never evil, she just made choices you didn't like. I didn't like alot of them either. Do you think I'd get alot of support if I did a 'Yeayyy John Major is Dead' thread?

Strangely, Maggie gets alot of abuse because she was a powerful woman. Even stranger, it seems to be woman who resent her the most.

Stop repeating what the earlier numpties thrashed upon me. Think for yourself.

I enjoy a good debate. The trick is not to descend to personal abuse.

As they say, when you revert to personal abuse, you've already lost.

Yeah well I had enough personal abuse earlier on and it seems you are just repeating what the others said...

In 1978 when faced with the same intelligence, the Labour government quietly averts a war through diplomatic channels by threatening to send a taskforce. It's the classic tale, to divert attention from disastrous economic policies at home a crooked leader engages in a foreign war (except I'm not talking about Galtieri!). Perhaps Thatcher was getting advise from some of the brutal dictatorships she helped prop up in South America, "Would you like some more tea Mr Pinochet?". Number of British soldiers killed, 278, Argentines, 3000+. Blood on her hands anyone?
the only part of your otherwise excellent post that I would argue with is this bit - the Callaghan government actually DID send a small task force to the South Atlantic in 1977: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Journeyman

plus you could also mention that Thatcher's government changed the laws so that it made it actively harder for the Falkland Islanders to get full British citizenship.

I am actually starting to laugh now... coz as I said, this is ridiculous.. wishing her dead is beyond me.. not my bag as such (havent got it in me).. comparing notes on WW2.. well, love the whole concept.. haven't researched this subject for a little while.. recently been studying nutrition .. (boring to some.. but ho hum, stretch the brain cells and all that ).. Is Maggie vunerable? well, I am now going along the lines that you are talking literally and I am thinking metaphorically... ?
