There's been some specualtion that the labour agreement problem that's been holding me upf ro mroe than 6 motnhs now could be resolved in a couple of weeks although i wont be holding my breath. But specualtion's the best I've had for a long time so who knows.

Sorry to the SW London loners about last weekend! Sharon, good luck with the move and Aqua, I'll have to wait to see your beautiful face I guess!!! Hope the tearaway's behaving himself.

I;m off to watch Ray Mear's thing in Oz, speak shortly Doc, as we're probably the only 2 saddos on here tonight.

I have some news today! Yeyyyyyyyy!

I got my provsional job offer letter through with all the paperwork for health checks and stuff to fill in. Its only taken them 3 weeks to send it. :frown:

But i have spent all night scanning them in and sending them back and will post originals by super duper mail tomorrow. COME ON!!!

And have man flu for second time in a month! :( Must be the stress. ;)

Where are you all hiding. And who got my shark surf ski video on facebook? Real? Fake? Discuss!

I saw that and I'm pretty certain its real!! I also have some news this morning. DIAC and DEEWR, the two gvt depts dealing with the labour agreement which has been ongoing for 6 months plus, look like they've accepted all proposals and that things may/should get moving soon. Not holding my breath but its the first good news I've had since 2007!!!

How are MT Pockets and Paul30 getting on with packing? I am finding it pretty tough chucking stuff out - I'm a wee bit sentimental:o

Well done on meds, doc!!

Hi Aqua My packing has come to a standstill at the mo was hoping to go out at back end of August but unfortunately my dad had a heart attack the week before last he's ok at the mo but is booked in for a bypass early july so putting off my plans for a bit to make sure he's ok. How's things going with your move?

Hi guys

Can I join the loner's club? Have just applied for visa and planning on move to Perth. Scary but exciting.

Have worked overseas before in Dubai, but now back in the UK and need another change. The UK is so boring and depressing!

Fingers crossed by this time next year I will be in Oz!

By way of interest - how long has it taken everyone to get a visa agreed?

been planning it for 3 years now - but the actual task of getting docs together and granted the visa will be about 1 year.

Paul, sorry to hear about your Dad, hope he's doing alright, sure he'll be out visiting and hitting the surf with you before long! All the best mate.

Scuba, Pony, Doc - looks like things are going the right direction, but I'm still getting there first, suckers! I'll make sure and warm up the barbie, bar-stool, beach and ocean for ya (yep i'm gonna pee in it!).

at the moment i am just waiting waiting, but in the meantime getting officially beefed up for the big pom beach invasion! Want to be strong for the surf, think i've forgotten how hard it can be to get out back especially in a big bondi swell! Oh and also I want to be fit for all those lonely single ladies! (remember there are NO men in sydney.. apparantly!) Good times! Where're my wingmen?
