Hi All,

Hope you all enjoy yourself at the meet up, I would have made the effort to call down and see you all, as I'm always up for a meet up.

Currently in Brisbane though, validating my visa.

Must say, that Singapore is a great place for a stop-over, and Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast are a great place to be, in general.

Got the train into Brisbane yesterday for the first time.........Fantastic clean and tidy city, lost to do, everyones happy and friendly. As cities go, I've not come across better !!

Monday is a holiday over here (Queen's Birthday), and I'm off down to Surfers Paradise to meet up with some old village mates from back in the UK.

Good luck with all your Visa's and processes, and hope you all have a good meet up. Stick at it, as from what I've seen and experienced so far, it's well worth it !!

Alan.

Me!! I am still coming if you'll have me!! Can we meet somewhere a walkable distance from the train station??? I have to bring my son with me as he is grounded til he is 65.;) You all packed, Sharon??? I would be so excited at this stage- how many sleeps til you go??? You're going to Sydney, right?

Sorry not to have been in touch much this week - car trouble, sister trouble and son trouble.

Last night - picked him up (paraletic) from a bus stop on a dual carriageway at 11.00 last night where some kind teenage soul found him and knew him, got his mobile out, found my number, rang me and said he would stay with him until I arrived. His mates had all left him there! Some mates!! Initially I couldn't find him so ran to the fire station and they helped me. My teenage mutant had stopped communicating with me more than an hour before when he was due in. Had been just about to call the police.

Had to call the paramedics out when I got him home as I couldn't rouse him and he started shaking uncontrollably. Two out of three (nearly all three)emergency services time, energy and money engaged as a result of a bad choice of friends and alcohol - AAARRGGHHHH!!!:curse::curse::curse:

I hope this is just a phase:confused: I keep wondering if he doesn't want to come to Oz:confused::confused: but every time I ask him he assures me in no uncertain terms he does. The thought of this behaviour (real problems at school too) carrying on over there is really distressing me. I don't know what to think.................

Anyway, tomorrow is another day!! Thought I'd get it out of my system with the above before then- sorry, all!! Feel better now and need to keep moving forward:thumbsup: Hope everyone one else is managing to do the same??

Ax

Soz, just read this - checking posts backwards!! The Terrace would be great for me if it's above Wimbledon train station?

The Terrace above Wimbledon train station (?), 1pm? Instead of bowl with car keys, can we draw lots as to who gets to take my son home and raise him til he's 21 before handing him back as a fully formed human being? And not me!! Most strange!

Supposed to be a scorcher tomorrow! Remember - "Slip, Slop, Slap"!!

ah you'll be good, it's basically being hit with rubber hammers for about 20 minutes, with a few kidney jabs thrown in.

the only bit u have to worry about is when they stick the big needle in your brain and draw off personality fluid to see how australian your mind is. It feels funny. Actually it doesn't, I just made that up.

it is a big needle though.

enjoy! the bill is particularly pleasurable.
