Had an email this morning and this whole thing's sttarting to look extremely long term now. Thoroughly depressed so think I might have to start looking at an alternative to the 457 visa before I turn 30!!! Defo on for the 8/6 by the way.

Doc, I've got the shirts and the thongs but they were out of extra small for you I'm afraid.

hello loners!

had my leaving party this weekend (despite not having the visa!), big barbie for all my mates on the saturday and we went to Go Ape (www.goape.co.uk) on the sunday, which was awesome!

But now that it's all done and dusted it's very weird, really brought home that i am leaving these irreplacable people behind. So if that didn't make me feel a bit lonely, last night the lass i have been seeing decided enough was enough and getting attached would be a bad idea as she's not at all interested in coming, so we are officially "off"! So now not really looking forward to the next however long waiting on the visa. Honestly so far all applying for aus has brought me is lonliness! And I am a very positive cheery person with a good outlook.. this is just HARD! This thread doesn't lie..

apologies for the moan! Feeling crappy today.

any jokes?

I tell you this, its hard putting life on hold waiting for this visa. But it must be harder having to break up with someone because of it. I know I'm doing the right thing by not getting involved with anyone but I've seriously been avoiding going out altogether for the past while. Saving money is helping lol. I know its the right thing to do in the end but its still hard. So, take it from me. No matter what your choice would have been before seeing this girl, you would still find it tough the other way.

Hey Pacey.

Hopefully will be any time now you get the visa.

I hear you about the lonliness. I can't imagine how it is for you being so close to going. I'm dreading it, I often get moments when I think about who I'm leaving behind, and why the hell I'm putting myself through it all.

I think you've done the right thing with the girl you were seeing though, if you stay together, you'll only get more attached.

I really should do the same, but it's been 2 1/2 years, and it's easier said than done. What doesn't help is she *may* come over with me, although I think it's a 2% chance to be honest, so you can't kick me out the club just yet.

No funny jokes, well one's that I can post on here, or everyone has heard fifty times before anyway!

doesn't have to be Blackpool I'm origionally a leeds lad (still spend most of my working life over that way) so that would be good or even Manc as it's pretty central to us all.
