Can a garden be truly complete without an up-on-bricks car?

When I was a kid I got taken to a house that looked like that for weeks on end in the summer for a few years. I have vivid memories of playing in a garden like that. It was known as the 'Little Garden' or some such nonsense. Amazing estate - a driveway of several miles, a moat...a summer house, and acres and acres of stuff. Memory doesn't serve me that well but it was a paradise for a young bloke! Cold in winter though - only one wing was heated. You lot would have had a heart attack.

My family and I have eaten at Nandos in four countries now. The list from best to worst are:

1. UK
2. Malaysia
3. Australia
4. South Africa

How ironic that the country where the chain began is where it's worst. And Spurs aren't what it used to be either. Will have to try Nandos at the V&A waterfront next time we're there

KFC gets the top score in Malaysia

I'd much rather be in a queenslander house in a flood than a british house. I'd much rather be in a queenslander house in the summer than a british house. I'd much rather be in a queenslander house when the termites are attacking than a british house. I'd much rather enjoy the australian outdoor living of a queenslander house than a british house.

I have just bought my OH a walnut whip and DD some Hula Hoops from the British Shop. An expensive little treat for them.

You might be right... but wouldn't it be even better if that Queenslander was better built?
