Not as bad as people calling it the Old Dart. Never heard anyone call it that in the UK* but it's the sure sign of a whinger over here.

* yeah I'm sure there're a few old tars that still use it.

Yeah. Presumably brought over by the settlers. But I hear English people use it over here as well and they tend to be the ones who are looking back nostalgically (to put it politely).
