I think someone is more deluded as to their importance in other people's minds than first imagined.

I miss.....
double glazing - woudl keep out the cold, the hot and the neighbours '50s music!
decent "british" curry
Warm bathroom in the winter
English dairy milk (but probably a good thing as I don't eat as much choccie now)
my best friend
knowing where places are relative to other places - hee hee - love the way people explain go to here, you know near here, next to there... not far from and I have no idea what or where they are talking about.

You Poms sound ridiculous, like you are out of a 50's B&W Ealing comedy, when you use it.
Not as bad as people calling it the Old Dart. Never heard anyone call it that in the UK* but it's the sure sign of a whinger over here.

* yeah I'm sure there're a few old tars that still use it.

'Old Dart' sounds a little like Bobby George's new line in aftershave for the over 40 year old Essex male.

Old Dart sounds like the sort of name Rod Stewart would give to his knob.
He'd say things like 'there's plenty of flight left in the old dart yet' as he skewered another trophy blonde clone of his ex wives.

Yep. There's someone who needs chemical castration on behalf of the aging ex-Grattan model sisterhood.

Yeah. Presumably brought over by the settlers. But I hear English people use it over here as well and they tend to be the ones who are looking back nostalgically (to put it politely).
