Thats a great plan nic seeing Europe something I want to do as Well 
its very slow here in brisbane and sunshine coast we are hoping its only christmas and DH can get a job in the new year. a few companys have let all thier staff go. but the recuitment agency in Brisbane says he has a lot starting after christmas so fingers crossed i take nothing for granted these days lol
I cant believe its so close to christmas going to look up australian dishes have a proper christmas day whoo hoo it will be a bitter sweet day i think a mixture of missing home and having fun

Sorry things are so slow. I have read that it is the worst time to find a job.

I applied 22 Jan 08 (paper application) and got 175 visa granted 18 Dec 08 (by email) - yippee!!

I fly out in a couple of weeks and need to validate by mid Feb, Im just going to play it by ear so we'll see how it works out. Just about to start looking for a job.
I thought my finances were all sorted until i saw how much the £ has dropped against the $ which has been a complete bummer!!!, oh well nevermind, ill keep my house here until the market picks up and then think about selling. At the moment its a double whamy house prices drop and then you get a naff exchange rate so as long as the rent covers the mortgage im not too bothered at the moment.

happy christmas to all and here is wishing everyone a good sunny 2009. We are just waiting for visa's hopefully soon, get house on market, gets jobs . just to necessary stressful stuff now.. ah.. Hope the econmy is not as crap there as it is here. I guess well soon find out if we cant get jobs... But ever the optimist, here' s hoping..

hi we did our meds in november, and yes we did use an agent.. they appear to have been helpful....

Hello everyone!!
We didn't have a CO - went straight to grant!
Packers coming tomorrow - phone being disconnected so I'll be on a moblile dongle while we are in the UK......
Staying in a friend's flat while our Worldly belongings sail round the World, just having a minor panic... LOL

I am also Jan 08 applicant but did not receive any communication from DIAC.. NO CO yet.. i already front loaded PCC and Medical 8 months ago.
