OOOH! DD has got a job interview this afternoon. She is now (in the shower) having a panic as she's never done this before. It is at a bookshop.

Face planted on the pavement crossing the shopping centre earlier. Thumped down really hard on hands and knees, made Tiddler laugh till she nearly peed herself. No one else saw thank god but have since found out the cctv cameras there are working so no doubt I'll be on the next 'funny' video.

The interview was fine, but having advertised the job for school leavers and university students, the man then said he couldn't offer her the job because she was going to uni and didn't know her timetable. She has to reapply when she knows in march. Why on earth didn't he make it clear in the ad?

Ahhh thats not so bad, We had over 20 here for our last 18th.... Felt just on the edge of control.
Not sure if your into practical jokes like myself, but if you or hubby want a laugh and hopefully the girls afterwards, chuck a small picnic bar into the pool when they're not looking.

We had about 20 at FB's 18th. The only time they came indoors was to use the loo or sleep. Those that threw up, did so in the bushes. When I got up in the morning some of them had spent an hour clearing up the carnage. It was brilliant. Hardest thing for me was taking orders for coffee when I was barely awake myself

OH fixed the gas heater, so we put it on to run. Seemed ok after 10 mins so we came inside to do more preparations. DD was lounging by the pool and suddenly called out "Mum, mum- there's smoke!!" Guess the heater wasn't fixed. Well the pool is at about 23 degrees so they'll just have to manage.
